So, this weekend, I wired the switches for the 2 circuits of 3-way switches on light fixtures (I wired the light fixtures 5 months or so ago, which made things interesting trying to remember which switch was which end). I was very worried. So, hubby went outside to switch on the main breaker for that half of the house ("Tap on the window so I know if something catches fire honey..." "Will running out of the house screaming work?"), nothing caught fire or exploded. So we turned on the light circuit breaker, still no fires or explosions. So we flipped on the lights, and LO! There was light. It worked perfectly. I'm so happy about that. I mean, granted I had the Black and Decker book to help me (though I had to do a little extrapolation because we had more lights than their circuit demo did), and granted I have an electrical engineering degree so I should sorta know what I'm doing, and I triple-checked everything and installed it all perfectly to code, but it's still a rather complex circuit and I was very nervous about it. hehe

We also completed the heating loop for the kitchen, built half the chimney for the boiler, and I finished refitting and putting all the baseboard trim back in, so all I need to do on that is tape and paint that trim now. Hopefully we can finish that chimney and get the controller in (it hasn't gotten here yet) next weekend, and test the heat out (we have all the alarms and such ready to go in case something goes wrong with carbon monoxide or what have you...)

In bad news, I managed to bash my foot really hard on the ski racks that were lying around and I think I might lose my pinky toe's nail (I'm not sure, it was loose so I bandaided it then taped it and it hurts, so I'm not brave enough to unwrap it just yet). Considering how much work on the table saw I've been doing, though, if that's my worst injury this entire renovation I will be quite thrilled. Unfortunately we will probably not be 100% done next week like we hoped, but it's very close.

So, today:
- No word on changes for the site I've been working on, but there probably will be...
- Laundry. Lots of laundry. It should be going right now, but I've been procrastinating. Going to stop procrastinating the second I finish this... (check!)
- Tidy up. Kitchen is a disaster because I wanted green curry for dinner but was too tired to clean up after making it, other than tossing the great number of dishes in the general direction of the sink. Fast food would have been easier and cleaner and faster, but, yum, it was worth it! (yay clean house!)
- Fold laundry from, um, last week. I intended to do it earlier, but, you know... staying up late working and no time... (done!)
- Lie around and recover and gestate and let my toe heal for a while. I'm so tired. :\ (leans back... AHHHHhhhhh.)

Well, today I should

- See if I can get some code for line items I've been neglecting to work
- Fold the laundry I did yesterday
- Do more laundry
- Unload the dishwasher and tidy up

I should also probably start thinking about baby's Halloween costume. Since I'll need to sew it, and all.

Today I slept the day away. I should have been at work, but I got sick during the night and had the day off.

I did get it all done! Except for making the appointment for my FIL..the lady was rude and the office is ridiculous. I have to call back tomorrow to speak to the person who makes appointments.

Ooh! I'm so happy this thread is still around! I missed posting a to-do list each day to keep me motivated. For my old friends on here, "Hi!" and for the ladies I haven't met yet, I'm Jen, I took a little CW break, but now I would like to come back and play. I will post my list for Monday later today!

Hmm, haven't posted to this in a while...

I apparently scared some people going to the bed and breakfast across the street from the house we're finishing up Saturday. I guess they had never seen a 6 months pregnant woman chopping an old door into trashcan-sized pieces using a power reciprocating saw before. They stared really hard at me, then waited until I went inside to get another trash bag to get out of their car. hehehe. But, with that, we're DONE! with renovating.

Hubby said that our neighbor lady probably thinks he's the worst husband ever, as I'm always outside doing something. Of course, I'm out doing something because he's doing something inside that I would prefer not to do (specifically this time, cutting the mitered corners for the trim to finish the door, which required both precision and manual labor with the hand saw miter box).

Did I mention DONE? DONE! DONE! DONE! Once we sign lease papers with one of the sets of people who want to rent the place, we won't even have to drive up there on weekends. DONE!!!!

Anyway, today, if I manage to get over the fact that I feel like a whale (as in that I'm a whale myself, not a strange new pregnancy-related craving for whale-flesh), I will:

- Turn in some library books
- Unload/reload the dishwasher
- Clean the kitchen
- Clean the living room
- Do some of the eternal laundry-pile
- See if either job wants anything done, as I'm in a holding pattern atm

If I'm feeling really, really up for it, I will sew a couple of shirt dresses for the squeaker. If I'm not, I will queue up something watchable on hulu, and do some knitting on a pair of gloves for squeaker.
