I was thinking that I could sure use an encouraging thread. One that had encouraging and uplifting thoughts, quotes, scripture. One that units and uplifts us. Anyone else feel this way? Have something encouraging to post?
Just as I was thinking about this, it started to rain! Rain always lifts my spirits. Isn't God good!

I think your thread is a absolutely wonderful idea, and I have definitely subbed to it

And from my prayer Psalm (116:7) yesterday these words:
Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
It is a wonderful reminder that in Him is rest---and that is where He desires us to find ourselves. Resting in Him. Yes, resting in Him for He has dealt bountifully with us! Praise the Lord!

Yes! I too like the rain and enjoy the peacefulness of being a part of God's creation -- watching the leaves on trees blow, listening to the cicadas and birds, feeling the breeze. In Psalm 148:3-10 i imagine all creation praising our LORD!
Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!
Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!

I was doing a word search through the Bible for "content" and stumbled across this verse. Talk about taking the focus off all I don't have ... be exalted above the heavens, Oh God!!!

That reminded me of one of my many favorite verses -- for He overcomes all!
