Let's hope that they fix it in the coming season.

I took the third test (the one with the bouncy balls) and did it six times before getting my score up to 66%. I'm beginning to wonder, if I really were a Dharma Initiative recruit, what kind of job they'd end up assigning me. Maybe it's just as well I don't know...

I thought it was a bit odd that the test was online on the 2nd but the e-mail about it didn't go out until a few days later.

I've been checking Lostpedia (www.lostpedia.com) for info on dharmawantsyou.com. They have information about the origin of the group names, but nothing about their significance as far as which group volunteers are assigned to.

I think the writers are headed in the right direction now that they know when the series is going to end and how much time they have left to get things wrapped up. Would you believe I have a friend who, until last year, was complaining about we weren't getting answers fast enough, and now she's saying she doesn't see how they're going to be able to reveal all the answers in the time left? In other words, not going fast enough before and going too fast now. <insert eye roll here>

I'm hopeful for a satisfying resolution, unlike the one for Alias, which was good in some ways but seemed hurried up and patched together in other ways because the show was canceled and they had to wind things up suddenly.

momma, sorry to disappoint you, but I read somewhere that Lindelof and Cuse said we won't get an explanation about Smokey until the last season.

If you get a chance, look up Oceanic Airlines on Wikipedia. I think you'll find it interesting.

Well, at least we'll get one! That's better than ending it and 10 years later folks are wandering around in asylums going "They never told us what that smoke thing was!" (Hmmmmm, maybe we'd meet Hugo there...and get to talk to Charlie.....)

Predictions, spoilers, speculations, wild theories - post 'em all here. And we can discuss the new season once it starts.

The Dharma Initiative is recruiting! Go to www.dharmawantsyou.com to take a test to determine if you're worthy of joining the Initiative's volunteer ranks. Be warned: The questions you'll be asked are VERY strange. If you take the test and pass, please let us know. I'm trying to figure out whether everyone who takes the test passes regardless of their answers.

This thread is for fans of the show only, please.

I passed. Can't wait to talk to Charlie...

LOL...so did we pass because, as Hurley said about himself, Locke and Ben, "because we're the craziest"?

Is anyone watching the series again on sci-fi? Starting last night they are broadcasting 4 episodes every Monday starting at 7:00 p.m. eastern. It's good to review. Knowing what we know now you can see early hints and situation developments.

So what are y'alls theories about the island and what's happening. Is it all in Hurley's mind? (what ever became of that episode?) Is it purgatory? How did so many killers (Kate, Ecko, Ana Lucia, Sawyer, the couple that poisoned the rich old man and got buried alive) get aboard one plane? Why did some dopey looking guys (Hurley, Charlie, Bernard) survive the crash, but only totally hot women (okay, they let Rose survive, but she was probably hot in her day) survived?

Hey! I thought Hurley and Charlie were cute.

Possibly my preference for "nice" over "hot" influences how I view them, though.

I'm still waiting for season 4 to come out so I can get it from the library.

I'm waiting and am very excited. I've watched the show since the beginning. I've never got too tied up in the theories. I like seeing how things have come to be. It's such a shock when you find out the ties to everyone and how each person has interacted with another at some point.
The writer's strike last year threw all the shows out there into a tizzy regarding how the 2007-2008 season would unfold. There were a lot of plots that were scrapped and characters that weren't developed on all tv shows.

Hurley??

That's kind of my point. It just shows the double standard society has about appearance. There can be popular male characters that are plain or even un-atractive, but female characters pretty much HAVE to be young and attractive (or 'hot', if you prefer).

Watching season 1 again on sci-fi is a bit more exciting. Now that we have learned so much about the island I can see all of the first hints and catch the references to the future of the story. I didn't see all of those hidden things before and it's easy to spot them now. Especially some things about Locke.

So we now know. Ben can somewhat control the black smoke thing, but we still don't know what the heck it is. That's my problem with this show. They answer a question and leave you with 10 new questions. It's a good formula though. It leaves me hooked.

I saw there's a Test 6 too. I haven't taken it yet. I wonder if this "Black Swan" hacker is for real or something to add a little more drama to the Dharma Initiative testing.

I've taken all of the tests now and am waiting for the results. I made 60% on the number patterns test. I thought test 6 was actually pretty easy, although it had an odd mix of questions.

Saw her on the Gary Sanise CSI show. She used her accent this time.

Yep! I completed all the tests.
Side note: Tania Raymonde (Alex) was on the A&E show "The Cleaner" last night. She played a college student who is a bulimic. She did a fantastic job!

Ms Hawking (the woman who was the jeweller in Desmond's flashback) is coming back this season. She has a very surprising connection to a MAJOR character and it's going to be huge!

I found this teaser for the upcoming season over at comcast.net. Gave me goosebumps!

Jan 09 that way they can do all the shows in a row with no interuption. It really needs to be that way, so that we don't forget what happened.

I'm not sure when the new season starts. ABC.com just said early 2009. Last season started on January 31.
Maybe this season will start January 29 if it comes back to Thursdays again?
They've already released the name of the first six episodes:
Episode 5.01 - Because You Left
Episode 5.02 - The Lie
Episode 5.03 - Jughead
Episode 5.04 - The Little Prince
Episode 5.05 - This Place Is Death
Episode 5.06 - The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
