I am so sorry to hear that. Sad...so very sad......and someone's stupidity and not caring about others started it all.

I have done that about sinks too...cause I have kids that could get hurt easily with too hot water. Luckily I test the water before they wash their hands, but the two oldest are now to an age where they can easily do it for themselves.

Is it really that dangerous to leave the kids for the 30 seconds or so it takes to wheel the cart to the nearest return? Even if you can't park immediately next to one, there's usually one not that far away.

I'm not really good at parking a large car, so I have tendancy to park away from other cars, like where all the large trucks park. I usuallt go in the morning though, so I am usually in an almost empty parking lot.

Your daughter is sooooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

Thanks Cloak. He's a boy though, it's OK though I know those jammies look lavendar, but they're actually baby blue. That's my oldest Timmy when he was 8 months old I think.

Sorry Christina, I should have noticed the blue colour! Give Timmy my all my hugs and kisses!!!

another pet peeve of mine...when people don't respect their country's flag or national anthem. I was sooooo annoyed last night....the award ceremony for the men's swimming relay's...the US won, and two of the four guys standing up there were laughing and whispering while the National Anthem was being played. I mean, I know they were excited to win and all, but HOW RUDE to those that have DIED for that song to have meaning and be played!!!

I ALWAYS tell the store manager when the bathroom is out of soap. Or when it's dirty, needs attention, etc.

I hope that in those cases (often times at the grocery store) the employees have their own restroom to use. I hate to think that they are using the same one as me and aren't getting it taken care of. Then think about how dirty their hands must be as they are packing up my food.

I'm not sure which ceremony you saw, but I remember watching the last men's relay final...and I thought they were going to keep talking during the anthem, but they didn't. They talked before, after, while they were waiting, etc., but I was happy to see that they weren't talking during the actual anthem itself. :)

LOL Jeanie! By the way, Lorne and I are pet lovers (d'uh right? ) and we don't let our pets lick us and get annoyed when people let them lick them. I always say "my dog just licked its butt and you are letting it lick your face? That is so gross" Even if I wanted my pets to lick me I can't cuz I am allergic to their saliva (all of my pets) and break out in hives.

When women flush and don't wash I feel sick and don't even want to touch the door handle after seeing them touch it.

And what's up with baggers? Like come on! I too put all my groceries in the correct order, but they somehow manage to put cleaning products with meat. EW and so not healthy! That is why I like going to places where I have to bag my own groceries, but even there the baggers have crushed my bread by slamming things into it. I am always very happy when I get a bagger that knows what they are doing!

Ugh...baggers get me too. It used to be an art, a little paper, a little plastic, here they just randomly dump stuff into plastic bags (I HATE plastic bags) and then you have a million bags, and the guys who carry them out (our store still does that) just literally throw them in the car...canned goods on the bread, etc. UGH!

My pet peeve right now...people who say "let me know if I can do anything for you" but really dont mean it. I mean seriously, most would run away screaming if they asked that question and I said...sure can you come clean the pet stains out of my carpet for me...the smell is getting to me (puppy has been home alone and a little neglected lately so she had some accidents...not that we've been bad puppy parents, SIL has been tending to her sometimes and she has food and water on automatic feeders....). So the next random person who offers gets to clean my floors...

Erin, if you were close to me, I would come and clean your pet stains for you. I am very good at cleaning for others, but not really my own home.

How is your baby?

Right now, my biggest pet peeve is everything.

Baby is doing good, just one day at a time.

I know all you ladies would help, what is really bugging me is the people who NEVER talk to me all of a sudden keep saying "let me know if there is anything I can do"

Oh yeah, and another one...the girl who keeps texting me asking if she can come hold him yet...never asking how he is doing. For one even if they were letting people hold him I am going to be stingy with that for a while. Sorry.

Jeanie --- for someone who says you are easy to please, you sure have a long list of pet peeves.

CHRISTINE: ROFL!! Yeah, I sure do have a long list. But I'm easy to please in that I am not a vocal complainer. I just have my internal list. You should see me when I have to return something to Target or somewhere like that (which I do not do often)..."Hi, yes, I bought this widget and....THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT...IT WORKS FINE....it's just the wrong color/didn't match/whatever." I am always making it out to be "oh, your fabulous product just didn't work out -- it's me, not you."

I crack myself up.

And I never ever EVER complain in a restaurant or send anything back. Not that I'm holding that out like a badge of honor or anything, but it's just not me. I'm kind of shy, but also, if it's edible -- I'll eat it. It's one meal out of the rest of my life -- big whoop.

But yeah, you cracked me up with your comment -- thanks! So FUNNY!

Jeanie

I don't send things back either. I'll gripe and complain on the inside, or vent when I get home, but not to a person. I was in customer service too long to do that to someone. And if I'm allowed to start griping, I may never shut up and I'll really embarrass myself and whomever I'm with.

My latest pet peeve: insurance companies who take 9 months to reject a claim and the dentist office that demands immediate payment (becuase it's been 9 months since the service and all). So now I have to make $120 magically appear out of nowhere for the dentist. I paid $2000 for 2 root canals and crowns last year and they think they deserve more money out of me. GRRR!!!!!

I'm honestly about ready to cry.

I hope the lady on the phone didn't think I was angry at her. I really wasn't. And I told her I understood it wasn't her fault. But I did yell in her direction. Poor thing.

the whole "let me know if I can do anything for you" Is one of those phrases just like "how are you doing today?" Some people who say those don't actually want to do anything for you, and don't actually care how you are doing, but still want to sound nice. I just wish you had more of us nice people near you because we would all get together and probably end up painting your house, putting in a backyard gazebo and pond and buying groceries that would last you 4 years. Cuz we just wouldn't know when to stop!

Ummm what is up with people who are obsessed with holding babies? I've known so many ladies like that. They just want to hold a baby, but don't seem to care how that baby is doing. I sometimes wonder if they know the baby is alive or if they just think it is a cute doll and they want to play house. The girl who is texting you is weird... big time! I wouldn't want anyone holding him either... not for a while when he is home too.

I found a few more today.

DOGS....or to be more exact...OWNERS of said dogs who allow them to jump on total strangers with their muddy paws and get my brand new slacks filthy dirty and allow their big mean looking dog to come right up to me and bark bark bark while I am walking down steps holding a child.
(There were 4 dogs all together).

Dump truck drivers who do not tarp their load and come onto the interstate right in front of me and bounce a rock from their load onto my windshield.

Teenage girls standing in line at the grocery store cussing just because their mom isn't standing right with them and it makes them sound sooo cool to do it.

And the worse one today...
Sonic drive in that has the sign up for the apple caramel bites but tell you they don't have them anymore.

NOT a good day.

Too many people pick on others when they are down. My grandma is like this.

Oh yeah! I forgot about doctors who don't seem to care. It is frustrating and I and other people I know have ended up in the ER due to doctors and their non-caring-ness (is that a word? lol)

people who ask me why I don't work probably assuming its cause I'm lazy. The reason I don't is cause of learning problems.
people who never remember to call me and get mad when I don't call them.
snobs.

Come hold him yet? Isn't he still in the hospital? I know this is off topic, but I just want to ask. Erin, since he came so early, did you get all you needed for him? I was just wondering because I wasn't ready for my kids until a week before my due date.

Right now I can't sleep. And I am ticked because with all I took to help me sleep, I should have been knocked out hours ago. Tomorrow is not looking like a good day.

Another things that bothers me is when my son comes home from his dad's house and complains about lots of things that they say and do to him, but then wants to go back because they also bought him the newest and latest game. Why not just ask him to come because it would be nice to hang out?

And another thing is people who only talk to you when they want something. That seems to be the story of my life.

Yeah he is still in NICU. She keeps asking me if the doctor is letting other people hold him yet.
As far as everything we need...we are getting there. We werent ready completely but we will be by the time he comes home.
