I went to hear the Ball Brothers this afternoon. It was my fourth time to see them and my third time to see them singing (I saw them once at NQC).

For those of you who aren't familiar with them--the four group members are all really brothers--Andrew Ball (tenor), Daniel Ball (lead), Stephen Ball (baritone), and Josh Ball. Josh sings the bass part since when he joined (a few months ago) the other parts were taken. He's more a Bill Gaither-style bass--he'll sing some complex parts, but not rattle the subwoofers (yet).

Anyhow, this was my first time seeing them since Josh joined full-time, and they're better for the move. Their stage presence and presentation keeps improving each time I see them.

I'm sure I'm not the only fan of the group here...who else likes them?

Also, I invited Daniel Ball (and the others) to join here. So maybe one or more of them will drop by from time to time.[:)]

Yeah, I know the guys!!!!!! They are awesome!!!!!!

They are the most down-to-earth guys you will ever meet!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoy their music. Their Vocalized album was outstanding. The only downside is they don't come through NC often enough.

I haven't seen them in a long time. But I'd love to see them with Joshua singing with them all of the time instead of just one song! They don't appear that much in Georgia, either!

Seaton -> RE: The Ball Brothers Thread (8/11/2008 8:06:44 AM)

Yeah, they shouldn't leave NC or GA off their tour schedule. Don't they realize that is where it's happening....[:D]

I just checked their schedule and was surprised with how little they are scheduled for their home state, Georgia, and for the Carolinas. But I was really surprised to see how many dates they have scheduled with Roy Webb! I knew the Ball Brothers used to "hang out" with EHSSQ, but now it looks like they're hanging with Roy! Looks like I might be able to get to one of those concerts!

My brother in law had the boys in chattanooga, tn at his church when they first started. they were terrific and very down to earth guys and we loved them.

They are still great, but since they have been noticed, they havent been as enjoyable and werent as friendly the other times we saw them.

They also refuse to come back to my brother in law's church unless they receive triple the amount they got before SSQ videos. And dont say its the travel arrangements...they came before on a DROP IN , and my brother in law pays a good flat!!!! Also not a small church btw.

I still love the BB, just commenting on the topic. Can't wait to see them again.

I enjoy them very much... although I haven't had the chance to see them in a concert alone yet. I hope to have the chance one day.

That's the same way I feel about them in Ohio!

They do tour and sing concerts...I wonder where![:D]

The Southern Gospel Picnic at SDC has this group scheduled for Aug 28, 29 & 30. I should be able to hear them on one of those days.
