It saddens me to report that comedian and actor Bernie Mac died early this morning..

I really liked the Bernie Mac show. It was funny but it showed the family in a positive light and also had a few serious moments.

Yes, it is. I watched hime one night, but had to turn it when he started getting too raunchy. I think he can be very funny without the dirt, as well as Chris Rock and a few others. He was good in the Oceans movies too. Does anyone know is his previous illness had anything to do with his death?

I have to say I was taken a back by this premature obit. As far as I know, the closest thing that seems to remotely suggest Mac's salvation is that during his try in The Original Kings of Comedy, he did a Catholic-styled heart crossing, before his onstage performance. Maybe there's more about Bernie's spirituality, but I would have to conduct some serious research on that...[&o]

there was a brief shot of it in Original Kings of Comedy. I guess I'll have to do a youtube search so as to post a link, but I would think the humor found subsequently thereof would be problematic here. [sm=crazy.gif]

Bernie Mac was born and raised in a typical black Baptist type church. But only the Lord knows....

I'm going to miss him, I really enjoyed watching him (when it was clean!)

I also liked his show, it struck home for us in terms of being a parental figure in the lives of your nieces and nephews. I'm glad he addressed non-typical family situations, as there are so many people in those situations.

I understand only our savior knows for sure his eternity, but I am always bothered when people could have been lost.
