Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, once a rising star in the Democratic party, is behind bars tonight in the latest chapter in a very long string of crooked behavior.

Currently under investigation for perjury and obstruction of justice, Kilpatrick was free on bond. He got caught violating the terms of his bond agreement when he left the country. The presiding judge didn't care for his wandering, so he put him behind bars.

Kilpatrick is the vice president of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors. He's also the son of Congressional Black Caucus Chairwoman Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-MI).

That is ALL that is on the news right now! Our little PGA tour stop is losing some publicity.

Is this the same man Barack Obama was praising the day before? He knows how to pick em, doesn't he?

I saw where the guy got slapped with two more felonies for assulting the officers who were serving a warrant on him.

Power and arrogance surely corrupts.

Thanks
RC

Actually Kwame was supposed to be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention but he is not supposed to attend.

Now he's got a tether.

Maybe him and John Edwards could be cellmates??
