ORIGINAL: John_O Yes but people who do not love each other at all can still have sex. This is a misunderstanding. Sex IS designed for an expression of love through marriage. We have corrupted it into a completely different, immoral act. You cannot compare sex in marriage to premarital sex. There is a huge diference. quote:
Sex is merely a physical activity. I don't believe that. Sex was designed to be much more than a typical immoral act this world has made it out of. Once again, it is an action that expresses love. It is NOT love, but it IS an act that demonstrates the love that two people have for each other, provided its in the manner God created it for. What you say is true to a point. And that point is that you are discussing the original purpose/design of sex while the rest of us are discussing the act. In a perfect world sex would only occur between a man and his wife as a physical outpouring of their love for each other. IN which case sex would always be an act of love. But this is not a perfect world. sexual activity happens all over the place where it wasn't designed for. Sex can be an act of control (rape?), or of hate (abuse?) or perversion (homosexual behavior?) etc. See what I mean? (BTW, I'd prefer if we were still in a perfect world.)
