As I pointed out previously, the British eat blood pudding. Does this mean they are not Christian?

Yes, there is that admonition in Acts 15 for the benefit of Jewish believers. But their salvation was not on the line if they disobeyed.
Please note nowhere does it say that the 4 commands were for the benefit of the Jewish brethern. NOWHERE.

If they eat blood, it does not mean they are not believers but it does mean they are not being obediant to scripture.

BTW, rare or well done is not the issue. It is how well the blood is drained BEFORE cooking.

Acts 15 is specifically concerned with commands for gentile believers:

Acts 15:12The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. 13When they finished, James spoke up: "Brothers, listen to me. 14Simon has described to us how God at first showed his concern by taking from the Gentiles a people for himself. 15The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:
16" 'After this I will return
and rebuild David's fallen tent.
Its ruins I will rebuild,
and I will restore it,
17that the remnant of men may seek the Lord,
and all the Gentiles who bear my name,
says the Lord, who does these things'
18that have been known for ages.

19"It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. 21For Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath."

Actually, how well it is drained when the animal is slaughtered. I'm just being picky. &:)

I've heard the butcher shops crack open blood packs to pour on the meat to make it look...well, blood red! Surely the actual blood would be long gone from the frozen beeves they cut from.

What do y'all non-vampires do about the blood on your steak out of the package? Wash it off or just throw it in and cook it?

So, at night, do you feel like you want to run through the woods or fly through the air?

Three other people heard it, so I am sure someone will take care of the situation.

Let someone else clean up the mess... nice.

there are health reasons for all those old laws. I would like to think that with today's practices we should be alright as long as we cook it well and keep out hands clean and cutting boards clean(oh, sounds very jewish, keep your hands clean and don't use the same utensiles for meat and veggies).

but as far as the vampire church secretary, would taking her in be "missionary hiring"... kinda like some people do "missionary dating"? Doomed to failure in most cases.

What? You don't think the pastor is accustomed to receiving such comments?

I would reckon that if you know enough about it to be concerned with it, you know enough to go to somebody that can do something about it.

Have you ever talked to this girl, yourself, about your concerns? Any chance you may be misunderstanding something?

If you're right then there's action required. Waiting for someone else to do it ain't gonna help the situation.

as I posted earlier, she is no longer employed at the church.

No, I did not know her well, had casual conversation in the coffee area over a few months, as she popped in from time to time, and I am a regular in the coffee lounge. That is how the conversation came up, as she was there that morning. She normally attended another church.

Anyhow, I don't know if her no longer being employed had anything to do with the vampire stuff or not. Only know that she had stuff posted on myspace that was considered enough to lead to her dismissal. I did not see the site.

Well, there ya go.

But, I would still caution you and others that when you know something is wrong, yet choose to wait for someone else to deal with it, isn't really "good Christianity."

Believe me, I totally understand and I'm not trying to hammer on you. But we are called to be bold and courageous in doing what is right, even though we may stand alone.

I remember being in many situations like this and not wanting to be the guy that said anything because there were people way more qualified the should've been doing it.

God told me one day, "You're right, they should be doing it, but they're not. So I want you to do it!" Then I read Isaiah.

Knowing that, really ain't fun. But it's the truth and I have to live according to it. God will be my ultimate judge in the end.

No kidding!

As a side note - a spent a weekend once with a good friend and a fellow who was a therapist. The therapist guy specialized in vampirism. The stories he told me seriously wierded me out. I still can't get some of them out of my head 15 years later.
