I guess if she were Wiccan, she would not go to church. She said the vampire group is non sectarian.
She does not dress like a Goth.

Well, I've heard of people claiming to be werewolves. So nothing surprises me anymore.

Ok, I just had a picture of Grandpa from the Munsters running around yelling, "I'm a bat, I'm a bat. He thought he had changed, but didn't and was in the presence of the police. Hee hee.
Seriously, I'd speak with the pastor. I'm surprised your church hires outside help.

I think you avoid problems by not hiring in the church, but....well, maybe checking for rabies is a good idea too. This lady is married by the way.

semi related...i saw a documentary on (i believe it was..) Discovery about a sect of vampires who claimed to be Christians. i believe there is even a forum somewhere for 'Christian Vampires'. i think she is deluded and may genuinely not know that what she is doing is wrong. true, she could be doing it for attention, but if she is married and still needs this attention, then something must be going on in her life that she can't come to terms with.
i dunno the answer. pray for her? yes. speak to the pastor about her? yes. if you are able to form some sort of friendship with her to find out more about why she feels the need to do this, that might be another option for you.

I do not feel I need to become friends with the woman. I really avoid cult type people like the plague. NOT my area of minstry. Particularly when my A positive levels may be in danger.

I think these sort of role playing groups can have a negative affect on church attendace. We had a deacon that joined a invisible man role playing group, and we haven't seen him at church since.

according the the newspaper account, the ones in my area travel to a larger group across the state line

Atlanta vampires don't surprise me buy conyers? sheeesh. I can't imagine a vampire would be comfortable staying as a church secretary for long.
