The context of the Prince's military service: The American "royal family" was and remains the Bushes. McCain was not and is not President. If he wins, and I hope he will, my comparison will no longer fit the circumstances. I admit freely and wholeheartedly to slamming His Majesty on this one. Now, since that is not the topic of the thread, I have no more comment. If you want to bump that particular thread, have at it.

I challenge anyone to watch one episode of "The Wire", any episode, and then listen to a "Ludicris" song, and tell me which has the more "offensive" dialogue and themes.

Since that first argument didn't fly, I guess the the issue you're concerned with now is the fact that Luda held a fundraiser for Obama. Okay. You got me. NEW RULE. Hey guys, once again, there's nothing wrong with just saying you like McCain better than Obama. It's okay. It will make things a lot simpler than trying to justify and defend every thing McCain does and every slip up and gaffe McCain makes (and he WILL make them), as well as analyzing every word of every speech Obama makes, his clothing and accessories, mannerisms, etc., and now doing extensive research on rap lyrics in an attempt to find fault with everything Obama says of does. Some of you guys claim you're tired of hearing about him, but it's obvious some of you must Google his name three of four times a day. AND ENOUGH OF THIS ASININE EXCUSE: Well, we're just trying to get to KNOW him. NO YOU'RE NOT! Those I'm talking about were NEVER, EVER GOING TO EVEN THINK ABOUT VOTING FOR HIM EVER!!!

So, my point is, you don't have to give a reason for hating Obama's guts. Nor do you have to invent one. Voting is not an essay test, just a multiple choice one. And this year, unfortunately, "None of the above" is not an option.

You really need to check out the show.
Children are actually main characters in this show. One season focused on Middle School Kids who were also selling drugs and literally getting away with murder. Any 12-14 year olds that watched this show (they shouldn't, of course) learned that they would be ostracized and even murdered for "snitching" (and it would be justified), that it's okay to curse out a teacher or policeman, and that the goal of every kid should be to have their own "corner" to sell drugs. Drug lords were the heroes of the community. These young actors used the most vile language of any rap artist including Ludacris. There were few happy endings. Call it reality if you like, but you can argue the same thing about Luda's lyrics.

You like McCain, and you don't like Obama. Your loyalty in trying to defend McCain's every utterance and your hatred for Obama by demonizing every syllable spoken by him makes your bias obvious. But it's not necessary to got through these gymnastics every time one of them speaks. Both candidates will make gaffes, say things we dont' agree with or take stands we are at odds with. By questioning or ignoring McCain's choice of programming, is in no way invalidating your loyalty to him as president. Likewise, by simply ignoring the fact that a black rapper likes Obama (newsflash! Ludacris is probably not the only black hip hop artist who likes Obama, so you'll be a busy person coming up with a new list every day, and expressing your outrage over their lyrics) doesn't make you an Obama "Kool-aid drinker".

Bottom line is, who cares what shows McCain watches and who cares what entertainers like Obama. In general, most of Hollywood likes liberals. There's no debating that. Are you going to list all the folks in Hollywood who likes Obama and point out all the offensive parts in movies they played, controversial stands they've taken or all the trouble they've ever been in? And then take the, "Oh dear, how can anybody vote for such an awful, evil, mean and nasty man who has THESE people as his closest, most dearest friends!", stand?
