Obama has them terrified says Ludacris, the so-called musician and B.O. devotee. I suppose he's talking about us "typical white people," as B.O. himself likes to call us. In his musical endorsement of the one we've been waiting for, Ludacris says that McCain should be paralyzed and accuses unidentified white people of trying to suppress the black vote with threats of "nooses." Ludacris also takes a shot at Jesse Jackson, Mrs. Clinton and GWB, whom he calls "mentally handicapped." After reading the juvenile lyrics to this so-called song, it's clear to me that being a successful rap song writer requires no talent at all. Any half wit could write more interesting lyrics during his ten minute morning trip to the outhouse. paint the White House black

Toby Keith's music is as insipid as any I've ever seen. -Dan.

AS a citizen of the United States of America, Ludi can say or rap what he wants. I happen to like him, don't really listen to the lyrics, but the first time I seen him was on a award show and he had on a Confederate Flag. outfit. I thought good for him, he is not letting that flag terrorize him, and by putting it on, maybe just maybe it won't be such a big deal anymore.

That rap/song brings back memories of P-diddy's vote or die campaign. I'll bet Obama really wishes that some of his supporters, Ludacris being one, would just shut up for a while and stop "helping" him. What next?

What would happen if a white blogger were to post that the Candy Man wants to paint the White House black? All hell would break loose in the AA community! Barry can blast him while at the same time he says his three year old loves Snoop Dogs' filthy lyrics.

Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what? If you said it then you meant it how you want it head or gut? Here he is flat out talking about shooting Jesse Jackson. Does anyone remember the outcry when a comment was made about assassinating NObama? Where is the outcry over this? Or how about this: So get off your a**, black people, it’s time to get out and vote! Paint the White House black and I’m sure that’s got ‘em terrified McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed I'm sorry but this is just over the line. I can't believe people here are defending this when you see all the outcry on this board over McCain comparing NObama to Paris Hilton.

The First Amendment is designed to protect unpopular (even vulgar) speech, not the other way around. Either way, the nation will probably endure the scourge of confrontational rap lyrics, and move onto other moral outrages.

Well just remember this when McCain or anyone else says something you don't like about NObama. Well, bogus election year speechifying is also protected speech. So I guess both candidates are safe there.

If anyone would like to see some of the other works of this chart buster, check out his lyrics at [link removed] The fact that you remember the ESPN posts is a bit scarey. The fact that you don't remember it accurately is typical. Since they are not related, let's stick to the present issue. I merely pointed out that you seem to think success in the music industry is so easy, why not go for it yourself. I'm sure American Idol (or one of its many imitators) is holding tryouts somewhere. Maybe there should be a Christian version called Christian Idol. I did not comment on the content since I don't do rap nor do I think it is as easy as it appears. I just thought your comment was ... ludicrous. I didn't say success was easy. I said, "Any half wit could write more interesting lyrics..." Take a look at the lyrics. Would you find it difficult to do better? I also remember you ripping America saying that our leaders would never let their kids go into battle like Prince Harry did. That was well after John McCain's son had at least one tour of duty.

Thsnks RC And the HBO TV show, "The Wire", is one of John and Cindy McCain's "favorite" show's according to Foxnews. This show, which you can google yourself, is about black druglords and murderers ruling Baltimore. One of the "heroes" of this series is a homosexual black man who robs and murders drug dealers. The series showed this gay man kissing fully in the mouth and in bed with his lovers. This series contains excessive profanity, use of the "N" word, graphic violence, nudity and glorification of the gang lifestyle. Don't take my word for it, do your own research. And this is on the short list as one of John and Cindy's "favorite" TV shows. Oh, did I mention this is according to Foxnews? - Julius

Although I did give that line another look before posting it - there was something about having the words "speechifying" and "speech" in the same sentence that felt odd. Oh, well. I've always said that if having an English degree (not to mention two) gives me license to do anything, it's to monkey with the language at will.

I think there's no question the show glorifies those negative aspects I mentioned. Whether or not the show is a realistic depiction, I don't know, having never lived in that environment. The show is critically acclaimed, but some critics say it embellishes and exaggerates things for shock value and for the sake of adding an edge to get people's attention. You know, like how some politicians and rap "artists" do. But I cannot picture John and Cindy McCain being fans of "The Wire." Those who have watched the series probably know what I'm talking about. But then again, no one would figure that I'm a HUGE fan of "The Golden Girls." - Julius

"The Wire" is pretty vivid in its depiction of crime, and the hamster wheel of city politics (in this case, Baltimore), albeit it's done in a way that's intentionally dramatic. Just don't look for happy endings. For my money, I like "Homicide" better; a chief complaint I had with "The Wire" is that it's got so many characters and sub-plots floating around that it's hard to follow. Or at least it was for the season (4) I watched on DVD (available on Netflix).
