Thanks for such great and colorful stories. I know I started this thread a little upset, and probably more critical than I should have been, but I am starting to understand more about groups. I have never been on the inside and admit that I dont know a ton about the workings of groups, so, I am now better informed about subs. The closest I have came to seeing a sub, was sub microphones!!! When the Kingsmen were at my high school about 10 yrs ago, they forgot thier mikes in Asheville. They did a local TV show, and the mikes never made it to the bus. I was helping with the equipment and hanging out with the guys backstage, (actually the place I worked, Arby's was nice enough to let me take about a dozen sandwiches and bunches of fries cokes and sweet teas to feed the group that night) anyway, Greg Fox and I were about 30 seconds away from beginning a mad dash around town trying to buy new mikes, when the group that was going on first offered thier mikes....so all was well.. Greg had to leave after intermission to meet a guy halfway, who was bringing the mikes from NC, cause they were headed from TN north for a tour up there immediately after the concert....Concert was great that night, I recorded it and still watch it alot...
