ORIGINAL: Natsbeginningquest Why aren't they added in the bible? Revelation 22:18-19 18) I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19) And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. This would only apply to the Revelation of John since the Bible as we know it had not been compiled at the time. That's a good point, Cow. There are other warnings like this, and not just for 'tweaking' the message. One that comes to mind is along the lines of causing one as a child to stumble in leaning of God, that it wold be better for that person to not have lived... that they should tie a stone around their neck and go jump in the lake. It is awesome to think, though, that as long ago as Revelation was written, it was realized that the end times would be one that would likely draw attention to being altered to meet the needs of whoever would want to do so, and so such a warning would be placed in it.
