Hi folks. I think I may have mentioned that our son Mike, his wife Julie, and our two little grandsons Caleb and Noah are missionaries to the New Age/backpacker culture in Northern California. We just found out their old car (very old car) quit working, and they live in a very remote area (it's their only way of getting to their little church, and the closest shopping is almost 60 miles away). Oh yeah, they live upstairs in a church that was abandoned, which they're rehabbing as part of their outreach (you can see pictures of how it's really coming together on their blog).

Anyway, the mechanic says their car needs a new alternator, which costs $400. They're asking for agreement in prayer that God will provide. If you'd like to read about their work, their blog, done by our daughter-in-love Julie, is fascinating reading (she has a great way with words). The link is below (I hope it works!). You have to be part of Blogger, as they were getting anonymous email threats against them.

Father God I ask You to provide the funds needed for this couple - or better yet, a newer, decent and reliable car! This is just small thing for You Lord, I know. It's what I request anyway but Your will be done. I ask in Jesus Name,.

We ask that You bring a financial miracle to this couple.
We ask that the threats stop no matter where they are coming from.
We ask that You wrap Your loving arms around them.

May Jesus Christ be their ministry, working through them. We pray that you supply the wherewithal, including reliable transportation and finances. Bless them beyond our requests. It is in the name of Jesus Christ that we pray for them and thank you for all that you will do. Amen.

As an update, somebody blessed them with the money to get their car fixed. Thanks for praying, everybody. God is good!
