I do not like this and actually find it offensive.

Given the high divorce rate among Christians, there should be a much more sober attitude taken toward marriage.

I wrote my honest thoughts about competiting to get married and my post was removed for offensive language. I wrote that when my aunt made the comment about competing I almost called her another name for a donkey.

I am glad we all agree that competing to get married is a bad idea. My cousins and I are ignoring the older generation when it comes to their expectations. Two of my cousins married for love when they were ready. Another cousin and I have told our mothers that we probably will not marry. I don't think they believe us

Sometimes I do wonder who will get married first -me or my younger sister...not a competition though.

Well, I'm the oldest of us girls and I have one younger sister married. And at the time it was pretty hard on me even though I didn't see it as a competition. I guess it remains to be seen whether the rest of my sisters marry before me or not, although at the moment they are not marriage minded at all!!
