And yes, I voted for him, twice. I simply think he fell extremely short of expectations to say the least.

Except the only other choices were Gore and Kerry! So I don't think the 2 vote policy was all bad...

Agreed. I'm just saying I'm disappointed in him. I'm sure I'd truly be kicking myself if I had used my vote for either of the opposition.

P.S. Who keeps changing the "headlines" to my threads? This is the 2nd time this has happened. The first time, whoever changed it was completely off base. and this "new" headline is "The Energy Blame Game?" This thread was started to discuss the democrats turning off the lights and taking their vacation not "energy blame game!"

I've always wondered how the thread titles change. Makes it confusing when you're on the home page of the forum looking at the most recent posts too.

freakofnature,
I noticed the change to whenI made my post, but I thought it was just me.

Perhaps you should contact administrators.

I think I have noticed this kind of thing before when one thread is blended into another, but similar, thread. The trouble is on the list of threads in Current Events, the origional title still exists.

Ah, yes. That's what I meant to say in my previous post. The forum home will list it as the "new" name when showing the last article posted but when you enter the category it is still listed in the "original" thread title. Very confusing at times. And kind of annoying I might add.

PELOSI Should get back to the business of the people and stop trying to hock her book that is apparently bombing in a BIG BIG way.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sold just 2,737 copies of her book KNOW YOUR POWER

I'm sure that not only did she not want the up and down vote on drilling because she knows she would lose, but it appears also that she just wanted to get to her "book tour" which has been a disappointment to say the least! LOL... this woman is non stop gaffs and laffs.

The RNC needs to use this as an example of the dems wanting the poor to have high gas prices.

So the RNC should lie?

-Dan.

Then, why did the "Queen Bee" shut down the debate? Why don't the dems want to go on record about domestic drilling?

One common policy of liberals in the Pelosi Administration has been to limit speech to their interests only. It was used to pass the last energy act that bans light bulbs, increases fuel economy to where the feds are now mandating microcars be produced, but not family cars or business trucks (which is a reason they want to kill Detroit and prop up Tokyo), and mandates the use of less-efficient fuels from special interests.

Our Congressman has been barred from any debate, speech, or any type of discussion.

The Pelosi Energy Policy is to force everyone into 2-seat microcars because liberalism believes that that's the only thing needed. Their "energy policy" is to kill industries and force everyone into their utopia.

Also, by shutting the opposition from any discussion, it helps them in enforcing what they hope will be a national media policy that will outlaw opposition speech by imposing the Fairness Doctrine that would create federal authorities to monitor the Web, radio, and television to ensure no opposition speech against their views aired.

The Department of Energy and Education were both byproducts of the Carter Administration, and neither is efficient; rather, they have been able to create mediocrity in those area, just like federal law has created mediocrity in Olympic sports for men by Americans by preventing them from playing sports.
