Ahhhhh........... we just got home. While we had a blast at FOT, it's nice to be home. Reasonably uneventful drive home. Drove through a couple pretty serious rain storms. At one point a car going the other direction spun out, went across the median and stopped just short of oncoming traffic (ie US!).

It was so good to see everyone at FOT. Since Donna couldn't come to FOT, FOT came to her!

A link to our FOT Fun Run report on my running site: http://www.kickrunners.com/forum//showthread.php?t=35293 (Thanks to Ellie-Mae for doing the photos for me!)

ezri,

I think Benjamin may have a crush on Triss......he asked who's picture that was, and I told him it was 'Triss, ezri's daughter'. He just said "oh". Then I asked him "why?" and he just blushed and ran away. LOL!

One of the happiest-ly married couples I know has a 10 year age difference with the wife being the elder of the two.

We are finally home! Brandon only swam events 58 and 63...so we got there ate ONE and left at SEVEN THIRTY and he didn't swim for the first 5.5 hours! I am so glad it's over! My poor dad got there for the last 20 seconds of Li'l Sis' last event. Then of course when I got home I forgot I had to put out my grandparents' garbage can, so we had to get back in the car and drive across town and back.

Brandon has a job. The guy in charge of the sports section of the paper was apparently impressed with Brandon (who worked with his dad over the last two boat races, remember) and emailed Jody to see if Brandon could be had for $25/game for videotaping during the football season at the stadium up the street. The kid is thrilled, of course. That will get him almost to his 16th bday, lol.

That is cool about Brandon's job, Jen, as long as it doesn't end up creating more problems for you. Is he likely to get himself in more trouble if he has money of his own?

He'll be 8 in Feb. He's too funny. He'll change channels if a show on tv is getting too mushy.

He still won't be making as much as he makes during the summertime, and I haven't seen him do anything bad with his money. Other than that, I will know where he is anytime there's a home game, and he'll be working with an adult.

Btw, he hugged and kissed me today.

His-Great write up on the race! I just loved the pictures and the happy faces!!!!

Ahem...the pictures also made me feel quite old since two of my "babies" would have been disqualified from the kids run due to their advanced ages (yes, two of my "babies" are now in their 20's). I miss the cute ages!!!

Awww.... my kids aren't huggy/kisssy, you are blessed!

Another beautiful day here! I wish we could go to the fair... we could.... but I don't feel like going anywhere.

I tried to deny Noah of his "nums nums" last night. It just made things harder! Instead of waking up twice (around 2am and 5am), he was up around every 1 1/2 hours making sure I would still nurse him! I think this weaning through the night stuff is going to be a long process. I keep thinking that I am going to severely miss it, but at the same time.... it will be nice to get a full night sleep again..... I haven't had that in 2 years now!

It's EASY!

You need to read through the entire Bible in six months
Write a 15 page research paper on the feast of Tabernacles based on the Bible, and the approved list of commentaries (email me and I will send it to you).
You have to at least have 10,000 posts on these forums with no more than 2 nudges.
And fill out an application and sign permission for us to do an FBI check.

OR

You can email me so I can send you directions and a schedule as soon as we get next year set up.

The pictures were great, His.

Jen,
I was wondering the same thing about Brandon as Cindybode.

Sarah,
Aww for the new picture.

My blessing lost her two center top front teeth, but we're not sure when. I think it was Wed. night at dance practice. I was dancing, she was playing and got hit above her upper lip somehow. Dh took her out because she was crying so badly.

Yesterday I noticed that her teeth were missing. At dinner dh asked me when that happened. I told him that was funny, since I was going to ask him the same question. He said he did not see any teeth, but they are little so they could have been missed. She also could have swallowed them.

When we are home, she brings the tooth to me if she knows she lost it. These are the first from her top row-the others were from her bottom row.

We had a huge lightningn storm last night. I don't think it rained, and that isn't good, so we probably have a lot of fires. I heard it as late as six thirty this morning, too.

Get this--at 11:30 Brandon asked if he could go for a walk to watch the lightning! I said no. He said why. I said that I sympathized but it was not appropriate for him to be walking around in the middle of the night. He said that was three lies. I said it wasn't. He said, 'there's another one'.

Please pray for him. He is clearly unhappy.

Not at the moment, though--he went to talk to a friend (adult) and found that several boys he knows are working on her house today and so he has joined in. At least I know where he is, and he's being useful.

Btw, I let his dad in on some of the stuff that was going on yesterday and his words were, 'That clearly isn't gonna fly!' LOL...so I may have an ally in him. We shall see.
