Cynthia, a morning constitutional is a morning walk.

Oh! That's not bad. In fact, that might really help. I should try it.

Cynthia, a morning constitutional is just a brisk walk, lol. In the morning, of course.

That is a good idea... to take one. I also struggle with depression and weight issues and I know that it is the best thing for that...

Jenny-Fair, I read this slightly off. The words in bold are what I THOUGHT you said. You can TELL what's more common in MY area.

I wish we had more than one Tractor Supply store in this area, but we don't. I did go there, though (across from the vitamin store and the dentist's office, lol). They have hardly anything for students above 6th grade! And, they are anti-homeschooling.

LOL Diane, Tractor Supply is where I hang out as well. The entire staff knows my name and what kind of animals I have.

We have apparently resolved car and contract issues - finance company tried to sneak in a limited power of attorney, which we were NOT gonna sign - and I can go pick up my car.

Erin is practicing her piano and the boys are practicing their tae kwon do - all in the living room behind me.

I am trying to get into the habit of taking an afternoon constitutional. That morning thing ain't gonna happen.

Cindy, afternoon IS your morning.

And, I have never been to a tractor supply store...and have no future plans to do so, either, lol.

I think I should send you in there with a list and see if you can even figure out what any of those things are.

There was a radio contest awhile ago that was offering gift certificates to the mall as prizes, and I'm thinking, why can't they give out Tractor Supply gift cards? Now that I could use. The mall?

The only reason I could think of to go to a tractor supply store would be for a field trip.

There's only one Tractor Supply store around here--it's like 40miles away! Dh needed to go to get tubes for my garden wagon. TS was the only place that carried them. Seems when the church borrowed my wagon they over loaded it and went over a bump too hard... Oh well, we DID get two very large pine trees out of the deal, so I suppose the firewood makes up for it.

Morning constitutional--I can't think of any better way to start the day! Get up, swim/bike/run, THEN start my day! Since I started this, my depression has pretty much been under control. And ds1 and ds3, and sometimes ds4 have been running in the morning, too!

Ds2... Not sure what is up with him. His attitude generally has been in check. Okay, he's almost 14yo. I will cut him some slack. But, we've been joking. He's getting his work done. I'm still wondering what's up.

My husband's grandfather is sick unto death. He is 91 and currently in intensive care due to a heart attack. He also has colon cancer and some kind of infection. They cannot operate due to his frailty. All this to say that if we can afford it, when dh's grandfather passes, I will be going with dh to the Endicott/Binghamton area and will be there for at least a week, possibly two.

I will not have transportion, except my mil's vehicle, so I can't leave town. If this happens, I would really like to see those of you in the area, but have no way to get anywhere.

Of course, we are hoping Grandpa will recover, but at his age, if I were him, I'd just want to see Jesus and be free from suffering. We don't know how long he has. It could be today or next year. But I do want my friends to be aware that I may be in the area soon.

I was on prozac for almost 3 years... they kept upping the dose. It worked for a while. Anyway, they did not want to change it so increased dose 3X and then the panic attacks started. I found out after that they can be caused by prozac. We moved and I was still in a major bout so the new doc changed it to something i don't even recall to give my body a break from the prozac and I did not have a favorable 4 week trial so back on the prozac. I know I was taking it twice a day + the xanax + the colopin to help me sleep- sleepless nights also a side of prozac.

Another side effect of prozac is a higher risk of suicide. I'd consider that to be extremely serious.

Cynthia, If you got all the way to Binghamton, I would be more than happy to come see you, or even bring you up here so you could visit Donna as well. Don't worry about not having a vehicle.

Ez, I so wish that you could come and visit so you wouldn't be by yourself.

Ez,

I tried to PM you about maybe running across each other's paths somehow, but your mailbox is full.

Ever get anywhere near Vass?

YEA for the no cavities reports for Nathan & Nick!!!

but what is a morning constitutional?
I know it means a walk because we just read "101 Dalmatians", but dh and FIL always used it to mean something else that they did every morning in the bathroom! (we need a holding your nose smace!)

YEA for Cindy's new car!

I had a nice nap. Until Nate came home for a potty break (the house he's working on has no facilities).

Hazel, If your or someone else's tongue ever gets stuck again... punch a hole in the bottle (assuming that it is plastic. Unfortunately, it is hard to get someone else to do it for you if your tongue is stuck. My Dad's tongue ggot stung by a bee once. he talked funny for a few days after that.

I thought a morning consitutional had something to do with #2. But maybe that daily walk encouraged that also.

OUCH, Hazel! That is one strange running injury.

Ellie-Mae--bicycle water bottles have a top on 'em much like dish soap. Pull up to open, push down to close. So it wasn't a vacuum issue. My tongue got stuck when I closed the bottle! btw--you seem to be AWOL from KR. Are you still running?

I have done that, his, but generally only enough to pinch, not actually injure my tongue.

I thought it was a vacuum issue, too. Sorry that your tongue got pinched. That must really hurt.
Hubby's favorite movie is "A Christmas Story" and my daughter used to COMPLETELY freak out at the scene with the flag pole and the kid's tongue getting stuck. We bring it up occasionally just to taunt her. LOL We are such mean parents!

OUCH! No, I am not at this point. I am having trouble just getting around the house right now... even with a brace on... especially in the afternoon and evening. I am not ready to give it up, but I am in a lot of pain right now. It would be more discouraging if it weren't for the fact that I believe that God wants me to learn to run. If He wants me to run, then He will make it possible.

I probably won't be in chat tonight. I have to get up at 6 with my new job and I am not adjusting to it well. I hope to be almost asleep by 9:30

Well, now that I have a car . . . ROAD TRIP!!!!!

Seriously, it all depends on the timing, but I'd take a run up if I can.

His, only you could cut your tongue running.
