I agree with ya...and I'm NOT kidding!!! Actually if they hadn't set the world's record for most injured and on DL in MLB this season we would have been right there in mix for the division title. I mean how many pitchers can go down for one team in one season???? Okay...I'm off the baseball soapbox...thanks Rodney for getting me started. Now how am I suppose to go to bed after that tirade??? At least I didn't have to listen to Bill Clinton tonight! Now that would make my BP go up! Ooops...did I say that outloud???? Okay no more political talk either.

So...How are things in lower TN...you are from Chattanooga area right or do I have you confused with someone else??? geezer brain at 43!

Things are fine. I'm about 30 minutesNE of Chatt town. I usually go see the Lookouts play a few times a year but didn't get to this year. As much as I like MLB I love paying 8-10 dollars to sit right on the 1st base line and watch players play like their lives depends on it. I got to hear Bill's wife last night my bp didn't go up but I turned kinda green and got all queasy and stuff?!?!?!

ROFLOL!!! I fell asleep in the recliner about the time she started speaking...woke up about 3am when the tv cut off. Tells ya how interested I was in that...should have been watching the Braves game. I like the minor league games too...I've been to several. One year while living in Yorktown, VA we went over to Norfolk and watched the Tides play a couple of games...they were the Mets AAA club. We had gone to ATL to see them play the Mets at the beginning of the season and then late summer we went back with some of my family to see them play the Mets again...we joked that they were playing the NY Tides because over half of their team at that time had been called up from Norfolk. It was fun to watch the same guys play in the majors that we had seen play in AAA just a few weeks before.
We lived in Cleveland for 18 months back in 1995-96 time frame...hubby was a Navy recruiter!
Wasn't received very well there! LOL!!! Don't know why??? Did love our church though! We had just finished 5 years living in Seattle, WA area while hubby was on sea duty. So...we thought this will be cool...moving back close to home...SW VA...and so forth...it turned out to be a bit of a reverse culture shock for us. We managed to live through it and still have some dear friends in that area.

I'm getting really QWERTY so I'm going go before I fall asleep in the recliner again. It doesn't do this ole body any good to sleep in this thing. So...you all have a great night...what's left of it and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Cleveland at times wants to be viewed in the same context as a large city sometimes. So I moved to Benton about 3 years ago. 1 light town still friendly. Now that don't mean there isn't any nice people in Cleveland cause that's where I go to Church. Most all our friends live there. Just there seems to be a split in classes now. Does that make any sense?

Yep...it was like that when we lived there...we had 2 strikes against us...we weren't from there and we were military! Looked upon like we had 2 heads or something. Loved our church...we knew the pastor and the youth pastor of that church before we moved there...they and their wives went to college and seminary with hubby's brother so we were welcomed with open arms. Our eldest son went to school latter half of 2nd and all of 3rd grade there and he hated it. He said the kids were awful to him...he just turned 21 last week and when you mention our time living there he still shudders about his school experience. So I guess you can say we had both positive and negative experiences there and we weren't prepared for the negative. Being a military recruiter isn't an easy life anyway. I was asking him after about 6 months if he could transfer back to the submarine fleet. A year later he was able to get out after serving 8 years. I think we are settled in here in SC for a long while. Don't plan on anymore moving until we buy a house and plan on staying in same area so as to not disrupt middle child schools and such.

Well...I'm really going to bed now. Talk to you all tomorrow!

Good Morning Folks!!!
Brenda...I'm not a morning person but have to be because of kids, husband, and such. School bus runs at 6:40am and I had to be out there this morning to have a "Discussion" with the driver about some harrassing going on. I've also put in a call to the school. The problem is even though the bus says SC Schools on it the drivers aren't employed through the school system they are contracted through a service. May have to put a call into them as well. We will see what happens. All I know is I'm not going to put up with the behavior and if my son is giving as much as he is taking I will take care of him too!!!!

She was so soft -- and such an unusual cat. She was very affectionate and liked people. Not "stand-offish" like most cats her age. She was 14 when she died.

Then you should!!! I for one could not be a teacher...hence my reluctance to homeschool! I think if you have the desire then you need to pursue that.
