Happy Birthday Jeannie! And Kimberly and Barry and Tink (who's turning 30! - but shhhhhh, don't tell anyone) and FunBetty! [:D]

It's SO hard to believe August is here already. It's insane.

Back to the singing thing....Fisherman's Friends ROCK. I need to go get some. My Entertainer's Secret is old and I'm afraid it will kill me.

I'm still really croaky today and I'm not sure why, but I'm confident that God will clear it all up for tomorrow. Fortunately we'll do a lot of singing before I have to do my solo recording.

Ok...I have a question. My parents' anniversary (59th? Yeah, I think that's right! Geez, that means I have to plan something big next year...) is next Wednesday. They are real romantic people, mom doesn't like too much of a fuss made, and my brother will take them out to dinner, so I can't do that.

What are some good ideas for recognizing the day? I live across the street from them, so I have more options than just a phone call and a card...

Hmmmm.....parents anniversaries can be tough. I'll have to think about some ideas and get back to you. Fortunately there's a lot of creative people around here so somebody should have some good ideas! [:)]

You should do like a throwback dance...period to when they got married. Have streamers and lights and have everyone dress up in pretty dresses with white gloves...play period music and stuff...

That sounds like a big deal for next year, on their 60th!

For this year, something more understated...chocolate and flowers would not really bless them...I'm looking for something sweet but practical.
