My Alfalfa was like that too..... SEE!......he got into a bag of bows in this pic and had them everywhere. I started to pile them on him and of course he was very happy! (I know the picture makes hime look grumpy...but really, he was very contented)

No fishies don't keep you warm at night or snuggle you.

You have to sleep in the pool for that to work. (isn't that what they mean by waterbed?)

And you can get a pedicure at the same time!

Yesterday I picked up kitty and she backhanded me to the face and caught me square in the eye. I don't know why she was unhappy with me.

Awww! Sometimes kitties just get like that. Mine caught me in the hand on Sunday and it's still healing. It doesn't really feel like he's gone right now, though I know it'll hit me in a few days. That's why I suggested loving on yours today.

(((((Michelle)))))

So far Macy has only ever scratched me in play or in trying to get away after giving her medicine. She's never intentionally decided to just swat me. Really sweet-tempered kitty.

It is, however, very dangerous to move your hands under the covers when she's on the bed.

Hi all,

My male cat will attempt to bite me when he is tired of my petting him.

Do all cats do that? The ones I used to have would do that, too... as well as all the ones living with friends/relatives.

But that's the joy of cats. They are independent on their own terms.

My last cat, Mungo, was the epitomy of a royal cat. The house truly revolved around her. If I'd go to get the morning newspaper and she had not been fed, she'd attack me from across the yard. Pet her too little...attack. Pet her too much, she'd swat you. Oh but she was a lovable kitty (for those that she chose to be around). Even the dogs behaved around her-- (of course if they didn't she'd attack them! lol)

Macy doesn't seem to. She just gets up and leaves. She is fairly protective of her belly though. If she's not in the mood for you to pet/scratch it, she'll first try to push your hand away with her rear paws. If you don't heed this fair warning after the second or third time, then she'll try to grab your hand with the front ones and bite. (More of a nibble in actual practice.) But like I said, she warns you and doesn't just unload on ya.

Pfffft. <Looks at the 1981 in Barry's username> If you're old, what does that make me, a fossil?

Presidential candidates can be as young as 35, by the way.

There was a very friendly stray cat that lived in my neighborhood. I would be waiting for a the bus and she would come up a rub against me or anyone and everyone who was waiting 'begging' for pets. then after she got her fill she would jump on to the wall and proceede to clean herself. I have not seen her in a while and have heard rumors that she got hit by a car.
