VivaRonaldo7 -> Anyone here love soccer? (7/29/2008 11:29:44 PM)

I LOVE soccer, and I'm curious if anyone here also likes it. (Playing, watching, etc.) It's huge over in Europe, and the fan-base here in the USA is growing every MLS season.

I'm a fan of Manchester United in Europe, and the Chicago Fire here in the US. Sure, Man U could kill the Fire, but who cares. [:)]

So...anyone here love soccer? If so, do you play on a team, or which teams are you a fan of?

Look at my name and guess what team I supported?

I've been involved with the sport since 1975. Trust me, you DON'T want to know how much. Just suffice it to say, it's my passion.

If I had a team to root for I would love it. Best I can do though is keep watching the World Cup when I can.

Where are you located? Are there any United Soccer Leagues teams in your vicinity?

I may not have MLS in my area any longer, BUT, we're getting the Rowdies back in USL1.

I do! I do!

I got very strange looks from my neighbours during the Euro because they would hear random, exciting screaming coming from my apartment for a month! Even my 18 month old daughter was jumping up and down when the Dutch team scored.

I don't watch other football as much as I would like to (partly because of coverage, partly because of time).

I support Toronto FC (obviously!). I also try to follow Dutch league football (which often involves a Dutch language newspaper I don't fully understand!).

Toronto FC is a fun team to watch. My friend is going to be the referee for them in an upcoming game - Jorge Gonzalez. He's a really great guy!

I miss MLS - but, getting the Rowdies back is going to be pretty close to perfect for me.

[:)]

Oh, and EURO Rocks!!!!!!!

I remember the Mutiny...They were great...

The Euro's were a lot of fun to watch!! If you get past ESPN's commentators not knowing what the heck they're talking about. [sm=angertalk.gif]

Chad Barrett from the Chicago Fire just got traded to Toronto FC, and he tops the Fire's team leaderboard for shots/assists, so that should be good for them. The Fire also got Brian McBride in return, so yeah. Should be a good second half of the MLS season.

I love playing soccor for fun with people.I'm not good enough to be on a team but could run after and kick the ball all day.

We get British commentators too, but usually only on FSC. There was one of ESPN, but still. The British ones are better than the ESPN ones. xD

I looooooooooooooooooooove soccer [:D]
Guys find it weird that a girl like me is such a fanatic hehe
I used to play in soccer leagues, but stopped a couple of years ago because I focused on my music

I live near toronto, canada, but my parents are from south america from a country called Chile
So I watch football games from there
In Europe, I support clubs like Roma and Villareal
From International levels, I support Chile and Canada

Soccer rules!!!!
