karlie -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 4:16:06 PM)

Most definitely marriage! But, then, we've been very happy with no real issues. I may not feel as strongly about it if we had serious problems.

dianetavegia -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 4:18:52 PM)

Gracious! Married, without a doubt!

My husband completes me. We're one in every way. Jim is my best friend and I cannot begin to imagine life without him. Even if you were to offer me a perfect life and a bazillion dollars to go back and never marry, I'd choose Jim.

We've been married 2/3rds of my life now tho it feels like we've always been together.

notmycity -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 4:48:57 PM)

Marriage, hands down...

Wild-Rose -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 5:13:35 PM)

I love being married. It is wonderful to go through life with someone who loves you completely.

32 years married.

buckifn -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 5:39:45 PM)

marriage- I don't think we are complete when we are alone.

dianemccrary -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 5:45:44 PM)

Married!

Husband and I have been married 5 1/2 yrs. To go thru bad times and good times with a person you have a strong bond with, It Worth It All!![:D]

Now I will have to disagree with this statement. SOME people are not called by God to be married. It is BETTER for them to remain single.

BUT for ME . . . . It is definitely better for me to be married. God brought me the right man. It hasn't always been easy BUT I can't imagine my life without him.

Blessings,

Garsy

It is definitely the best experience of my life -- my marriage. So, without a doubt, being married wins hands down!

PureOath -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 7:15:21 PM)

I love being married. I love having my supportive hubby in my life.

I think that people who prefer single might have gotten married for the wrong reasons?

Being Married to My Wife!

isaacsmom -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 8:43:15 PM)

Married!! I've been married since I was 18, though, so I never had much of the single life.

Ps103 -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 10:08:29 PM)

I had a very long single life, and knew the good, the bad and the ugly about it[:D]

And married wins--no contest.

42servehymn -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/22/2008 10:29:29 PM)

Married!!! I married young also though so I didn't have much time as a single. But I do love being married!

crankius -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 12:03:10 AM)

Honestly, I like them both. Marriage is very good, and being single was very good also.

car2ner -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 6:48:46 AM)

I really enjoyed being single but God has blessed me with a wonderful husband. I thank God for him everyday.

DaveW -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 8:00:55 AM)

We have been married almost 31 years. A couple of decades were very tough and it looked at times like we would not continue. But we did, and we are in a better place now than we ever have been.

Even when things were bad, being married was better than being single.

SweetLittleErin -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 12:03:42 PM)

Married! Without a doubt. I LOVE being married.

I am a person who hates being alone and I love just having someone to watch tv with at night. Someone to cook meals for. Someone to tell about my day. Someone to tell me about their day. I love my hubby.

I don't know that this is necessarily true. I'm sure that being single has it's own challenges and responsibilities. Not much personal experience with that since I got married at 20. But I'd definitely say I'd prefer to be married than not [:)]

jaimestarcross -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 1:38:59 PM)

I like telling people I'm a married single person lol!

elastic -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 1:59:17 PM)

I value both times in my life. I loved being single and was very content with my singleness. I actually never planned to get married. I just wasn't interested in it. However, circumstances changed and my hubby came into my life. I have never been happier. I do prefer my married life to my single one, even though i truly did enjoy being a single person.

Cherish the moments you have wherever you are in life, single or not.

laura... -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 2:19:13 PM)

A good marriage is better than singleness. Singleness is better than a bad marriage.

I love being married to my hubby. I was happy when I was single for many many years. They both have their challenges and their pleasures.

Hatfield -> RE: Be honest!!! Which did you prefer MARRIED or SINGLE (7/23/2008 2:38:18 PM)

While there have been a few husbands who have responded, let me add my voice to theirs.

My wife and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary (married June 4, 1988). I will admit, that I have not been the perfect husband (see my blog here on FCN, post 12) my wife has shown me nothing less than God's grace and love. When we were through what we went through, I have had a depth of love I never would have dreamed of outside marriage.

But, as someone mentioned previously, not everyone in the world is supposed to be married! Maybe if some people listened to the part of them that tells them the full truth about such things, the divorce rate in the United States wouldn't be where it is.

No, marriage isn't all walks along the beach, but I'd sooner be going through the desert with my sweet wife than sitting on a beach by myself. For me, there's just no comparison.

Amen! I too will be celebrating my 20th anniversary with my lifelong partner! As you have stated, marriage is not all about walks on the beach---very true, but there are SEASONS of life that are good in marriage.............. some have much longer seasons than others do, though, and that is the unfortunate thing[&o].

As some have said here, my hubby too is my best friend. We LOVE to sit and talk with each other for hours.............we actually are LOOKING quite forward to our later years(Lord willing) and having more freedom to spend even more time alone together.
