What is considered spam on these boards? I found out that posting email jokes might be considered spam. What is the official policy on them and which TOS covers this topic?

You might also be talking about copyright violation:

Posting entire articles is prohibited, even if permission has been granted by the copyright holder. Instead please only post a portion of the article with a link to read the rest.

This includes email forwards you receive.

Now I'm confused. If I get an email with a good joke or information which I think would be useful to people here, and even if I get the person's permission to post it in these forums, then I still have to post part of it, with a link to my personal email, since it's where I'd be getting it from. I don't want my email address made public on these forums.

Also, there are some joke threads on here with jokes that I've seen from various web sites and elsewhere on the internet, emails, etc. that people here have been posting. If it's considered spamming or copyright violations to post these types of things, then maybe they shouldn't be allowed to be posted at all.

If you see a post which you feel violates the TOS just click on the report link located at the bottom right of the post.

Usually those joke type things are somewhere on the internet. No one would be able to read your email without knowing the password too.

What about promoting a website we're a part of. Like lordsmessage.com is a great christian network site. Can I use it's link?

Since we have similar networking sites that are a part of our network, I would say no.

But that would be a question for admin to have the final answer on.

Where do you wish to put the link?
