Oh poor you, Emily.

For yourself keep drinking water and diluted fruit juices, to stop you getthing dehydrated.

I'm not sure it's worth taking much anyway, till you've stopped being sick.

Emily - I don't know :( :( I'm praying for you, though!

Erin: COMPLETELY normal! Sometime soon the OTHER breast will leak more than the other.

Prudent: Can't you see a nude bra more than a white bra under light colored shirts? (Specifically a white one?)

not ignoring your question emily, but I am not a good one to ask about meds...I hardly ever get sick and when I do I either suffer through or call Donna to ask her what I can take

I don't think you can take bismol, unfortunately. Just try to bear through it....eat crackers, soup, Gatorade...try to keep hydrated. I don't think it's a good idea to take bismol anyway because it's stops your body from doing what God designed it to do, to puke up, poop out the bacteria that made it into your body. Bismol will temporarily relive that, but it's just prolonging it.

I am feeling a little better. I haven't thrown up since 7:00 this morning, but I still feel sick. If I have a bug or something I'm not going to pass it on to David am I?

Is Amodium AD safe to take?

What's that one website that tells you if you can certain medicines while BFing?

Emily, it could be possible to pass it on to him, just try to wash your hands often and don't kiss him on the mouth or his hands (since his hands go in his mouth).

Edited to add: Sarah you beat me to it!

I'm not Prudent but I know the question to this one.

If you're wearing a light colored shirt and don't want to see your bra through it, you need to wear a bra that's as close to your skin colour as you can get.

No white bras!!!

Tammy's right. A white bra contrasts with peachy skin and sort of 'glows' underneath your white shirts.

And NEVER wear a white bra to go cosmic bowling!! That black lights make it glow through your clothes. (I learned that the hard way)

Yes, Jae, mochachino is a fancy word for beige. It matches my skin good enough to wear under white stuff.

Erin, the painful, full, hard breasts only lasted a few days for me. But, full, hard breasts with no pain lasted a month or two. Do you know all the tricks to relieve the pain?

Try hand expressing in a hot shower, you know, just squish your breasts to make the milk come out. A hot water bottle or heating pad on your breasts help too. The very very last resort (which decreases supply) is cabbage leaves on your breasts. Try ibuprofen too, you can take that, or if you still have some percocet or vicodin or whatever they gave you in the hospital, take those at the worst time of day.

If your breasts itch at all from the stretching skin, you can use whatever you used for stretchmarks while you pregnant. That will help keep the elasticity of the skin on your breasts, so they don't itch so bad. Like cocobutter or Palmer's stretchmark cream. Just don't get it on your nips, I think, because it's not edible.

Oh, another thing....if you're pumping on a schedule.....If your breasts are really sore during a time you don't normally pump, just hand express some, or just pump a little to help relieve yourself.

You can also alternate heat and cold to help relieve some pain.

I for a day used frozen peas in my bra to help.

You are doing great Erin, hang in there.

Right now I am only getting in 5 pumpings a day. My LC said no less than 5 but she recommended 8. I'm having a really hard time getting 8 in with my schedule..I'm not going to lose my supply am I? She gave me a goal of 500-750ml, I hit that and got 650 yesterday. What are the tips to keep my supply up? I know its been mentioned many times but I dont have time to go back and find it. I'm so afraid of losing my supply. Right now I am pumping every three hours...except at night and as of right now I am not waking up at night, I probably should but I have been so exhausted, that if I actually do GO to sleep, I've just stayed that way.

Today is back to work...we'll see how this pumping there goes.
