Ah, yes, but you see, throughout history, many great and wonderful things have been accomplished by those holding the opinion of only a few.

It appears to me that some who voted no apparently know who the mysterious Amerigrandpa is and have no interest in the revealing!!!

I imagine he wouldn't have made the poll unless he was willing.

I understand that, however my point is - I don't care what he chooses. Willing to do something and wanting to do it aren't aways the same thing.

Yes...but don't you think a year is more than enough time to drag this mystery out? Even cats get bored with an elusive mouse.

I voted yes but seriously...whatever he/she decides to do is fine with me...yep I said she...it has been suggested by another poster that she thinks it could be a female imposter instead of a male one! The sooner the better is what I say and I think the NQC gathering would be a perfect place.

Everything happens late at NQC. The SN Awards is on Saturday night this year. Maybe we could talk with DJ or someone else from Singing News and he could make the announcement and introduce you at the awards program Saturday night.

Now that would be better than my grand entrance into Bobby's Triumphant concert last March!!!

Amerigrandpa, it looks like inquiring minds want to know.

That would be funny. About as funny as if Amerigrammy turned out to be a man. (Haven't seen her around here in eons.)

I voted some other time or place, meaning here, now. I do not get to go to NQC because it is right during the heart of corn harvest, and the suspense is killing me. Seriously, I thought you might be Ed O'Neal, but I asked Ed last winter after a concert near my home if he ever uses the SN forum, and the reply was that he never messed with that stuff (not necessarily verbatim, but that was the gist of what he said). And I cannot believe Amerigrandpa would fib, especially in a church basement while eating chili.

Well I'll take his word for it. Whatever happened to Randy Byrd and all the Blackwoods that used to be on here?

Well,

I'm never very good at stuff like this but I have to throw my guess out there before he reveals himself.

I know this is far fetched since I know nothing about him. Just by looking at the picture with the face missing and going by the shape of his head, hair color and the little bit of the style that I see, clothing style, etc. I will have to say that my guess is....(drum roll please)

Doyle Lawson!!!
Dude I've been thinking the same thing for a longggg time now. So I second your vote.

No, but he is the star of the Ed O'Neil University, which has had many "children" come through on their way to other groups.

For some reason, I don't buy that it's Doyle Lawson. Could be wrong, but I'd bet against it. What are the odds by now?

He said at one point he had AdamEdwards design the picture for him, so I guess Adam would know. I know I traded PMs with him regarding re-designing a picture of S-M for the surprise we did for her, but Adam would know about the original.

Adam is a huge bluegrass fan. Maybe Doyle Lawson isn't that far fetched.

I just have a hard time picturing Doyle Lawson running around a website like this.
