#148 may be Felix the Cat
#149 is Fearless Leader from Bullwinkle

Around here if it lays on the floor in my kitchen for more then a couple days and it's as ugly as that guy, well. . . . It doesn't seem to be missed when it meets up with the broom and dustpan!
ROFLOL!

Garsy, being the minimalist that I am, and seeing that the toys have taken over every available surface space and even a lot of floor space (in boxes), I'm surprise I have hired a bull dozer to broom-and-dustpan the whole thing.

And you're right . . . that is one UGLY toy!

Minimalist? Not really! I wish tho! I have for kids and have kinda been a packrat for my entire life. BUT I married a guy who well is brutal sometimes when it comes to stuff, especially little meaningless kids meal toys, left lying around in common areas of the house. If the toys are in the kids' bedrooms, no big deal, but if they are laying on the stairs, in the hall or all over the floor in the living room, well the kids are given a warning to get the stuff picked up but if it remains to long, well it either goes to toy jail to be redeemed by the child at a later date or if we are feeling it - it's in the trash!

Blessings,

Garsy

And now for dessert!

Since y'all have been so helpful with to this project, I thought I would also implement a new daily feature.

The toys in the following link do not need to be identified . . . I just thought they were just tool cool to not share with y'all.

COOL TOYS of the DAY!

The last two photos in this link are the same toy; just depending on which side you turn up and which side you turn down.

Oh, I do have one question though . . . are the "baby" Bugs Bunny, et al characters called anything special?
I found a few of them last night (as you can tell from the last 2 photos in the above link).

Those would be Baby Looney Tunes. My nursery was done in that for the firstborn...

148 is very likely Felix the cat
156 and 157 are from The Lion King, I don't know the names of their characters, though.

I agree with Steve on # 148. I'm 99.9% sure that #148 is Felix the Cat. Couldn't find that specific toy but definitely the cartoon character.

Compare here

Weren't they called Tiny Toons?

In Baby looney toons the duck is black, but in tiny toons, as in the picture at SharMar's site, it's green, like Tiny Toons

I know it's Gaston, not Gestof. She misremembered his name is all.

I didn't know there was an alien in Flintstones!

That is so funny to me.

Something similarly funny . . . last night I noticed that I had grouped all of the Flintstones characters (well, those I knew of) right next to all of the Jetson characters. Cave men and Space Age . . . side-by-side.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I was thinking about y'all last night as I was going through toys.

It occurred to me that I thought it would be fun to hear about Y'all's favorite toys.

What was your favorite toy when you were growing up?

What are some of your fun memories from that toy?

I thought the same thing, but there really is a baby looney toons! I was surprised. I had links to them in my post, the characters look different.

I loved the great Kazoo!

I don't know if you remember, but they did an episode where the jetsons time travels back and met the flintstones!

Just Barbies. I loved playing Barbies with my friends.

Had to be my baseball glove. We played pretty much from sunup to sundown with breaks for lunch and dinner. If you've ever seen the movie "Sandlot", that pretty much sums up my summer days until I was 15.

What are some of your fun memories from that toy?
Way too many to write. #1 is being the starting shortstop for the first undefeated Little League team in my area. We won the league championship and beat a couple of different all star teams from other leagues in exhibition games. #2 is making the all star team as a centerfielder the next year.

What's great about baseball is even though I was barely 4 feet tall and weighed as much as my uniform, I could still compete on a level with everybody else. No other sport can make that claim.

Second favorite toy would have to be my High Chapparal air rifle. I still have it.

I remember it.

I remember the Jetsons meet the Flintstones. That was fun.

My favorite toy was probably my truck. It was about 6" long and 3" wide. It was camouflage I think. When you pushed it forward it moved forward; when you pushed it back it moved backward. It was cool!!! I remember taking it in for show-and-tell in 1st grade and my mom writing my name in the truck bed so if it got lost it would be returned to me. In 1st grade I insisted on going by Chris, and there were lots of Chris' in my classroom. So I was Chris L. So Chris L. was in the truck bed for years and years and years.

I loved my legos too. But those got lost quickly and mom never replaced them.

I never owned a barbie of my own, no my little ponies. I had a cabbage patch doll, but only because my grandparents decided all the grand-daughters needed one. Her name is Estelle (my middle name).

I'm really enjoying y'all's posts!

Keep 'em coming.

(Oh, and I didn't know about the Jestson flying back in time to meet the Flintstones; that would have been a great episode to watch.)

Hey we've got that uber cool toy!!!! Somewhere . . . under a bed or in a closet or maybe in the fish tank? Okay the fish tank is too small for that but under the bed or closet are entirely possible!

Blessings,

Garsy
