But he has the face and that very thin mustache. In the movie he probably had several shirts. But like I said, I really don't know for 100 percent sure.

Christine - very good question!

I've actually been doing a lot of thinking about that these past couple of days.

I think that this is one of those things where Our Lord doesn't really have a "yes" or a "no", but rather a "it's your choice" . . . I haven't received a definite "continue" nor a definite "stop".

SO . . . given that, here is what I've decided to do:

I spent quite a bit of time today packing up about 100 pounds of toys. (Yes, I was weighing the boxes - LOL). Those toys are not going to be auctioned.

The remaining toys - the ones that didn't get packed up will be auctioned - if I can get them all uploaded within the next two weeks. After two weeks, any toys that have not been uploaded for auctions will not be auctioned.

THEN . . . I've given myself 4 more weeks for various other auctions - non-toy type stuff.
Yi, Yi, Yi . . . I just now remembered that there are some LPs that I kept that I plan on auctioning.

I'm going to be a bit busy for the next 6 weeks; that's for sure!

Why have you decided to soon stop doing the toy auctions?

(sorry if you said elsewhere, but I don't have time to keep up with your PFY thread)

Catherine, I don't think I ever specified in this (or any) thread, but the toys were never really considered to be a "long-term" project . . . well, if one doesn't count the two years it took me to actually begin the project. LOL

Since starting this project back in July, the time frame has pretty much stayed the same.

My house lease is up at the end of October, and I do not want to take the toys with me when I leave the house.

I also want to have at least a 10-day buffer after my last auction closes. That way, there will be enough time to receive payment & ship the items, and still do that during October.

Oh . . . and in regards to Christine's post, I had mentioned in my PFY thread last week that I was considering stopping the auctions now because of some unpleasant side effects I was experiencing . . . but I decided to continue on with the project and to see it through it's time-frame.

Just to let you know, if you need any assistance with storing/shipping/etc. with the toys, please let me know. I don't know how I can help, but I can find something.

Thanks James, but I won't be doing that.

This project will end in October.

going back to something I said in my response to Catherine . . .

from July 30th . . .
quote:

And just to give you a rough time-frame of when I'll be putting them up for auction, I have a goal of having all the auctions done within the next 3-4 months.

Accuracy compels me . . . a month ago, "3-4 months" would have been either the end of October or the end of November.

I had originally contemplated staying in the house one month past the lease expiration date, and had even discussed it with my landlords . . . but ultimately, I decided it wouldn't have been the best decision to make, so I nixed that idea.

Take your pick.
(I threw a non-raspberry smiley in there just in case you wanted to use that one, as well).

Don't Toys for Tots only want unopened "new" toys? I'm pretty sure that's how it is here.

Oh fiddle; I would have loved for you to have won. I didn't know you were bidding; but had I known, I would have rooted for you. Thanks for bidding, though; I appreciate that!

OK . . . I've got the majority of the Star Wars stuff upload. HERE's the link.

James (and whoever else is interested) - I have a few more Star Wars stuff to upload tomorrow (well, today) . . . and then, next in line are He-Man toys.

I would have liked to have them, but at least we boosted their price up for ya, ao I can't feel totally bad about it.

HERE's the latest link: the rest of the Star Wars and all of the Masters of the Universe.

And now, I'm headed to bed.
