Things you should never say to a car salesman. I've learned that these two things you just don't say when wanting to buy a new car.


1.I love, love, love this car.The salesman will, of course, sympathize and want to help you out. But he'll tell you the sales manager, you see, well... That's a really hot car and we had someone in here just the other day and... He just won't take less than...They know you're not about to walk away. Bottom line: Cars you're not in love with are usually a lot cheaper.



2.. I need a monthly payment of...



What are some other bad things to say,that maybe you've said and realized it was the wrong thing to say?

Actually, I just bought a car at the beginning of the month. My car was totaled in an accident and I needed to buy a car that day. I told the car salesman that I am buying a car today, so if it isn't from him, it will be from someone else.

The Sales Manager started monkeying around with the deal, so I got up and walked out, got in my car (rental) and was about to drive off and the sales man came running after me!

I still went somewhere else and got a better deal.
