I'm offended that no one's posted here for two full days after I spent a week reading the entire thread.

Well I'm offended that you broke the two day posting fast to tell us you were offended by it.

Phonics offend me. I'm forever stumbling upon sentences that renders the concept useless. IMHO.

For example:

The dove dove into the field.

Today I'm very offended.

Left the car in the car park at the supermarket. By the time I got back someone had reversed into it and damaged it.

No message of apology on the windscreen. No witnesses. Nothing but great expense for me to put it right.

Now tell me ... seriously ... how do you forgive and love your neighbour after that?

Not funny! I, too, am offended. But I gotta tell you --

The other day, I drove by where my husband parks his van while working and wrote this note and taped it to the driver-side window: "Sorry I smashed in the passenger side of yur van. No one saw me do it, so if anyone is hurting, it ain't me." Then, on the passenger side, I taped another note: "Hee-hee-hee! I love you!" He was offended -- at first.

That was vicious!!! Very funny, but still vicious!

Thanx Covaan_Meshuga for your message.

It cheered me up a little. Although I still have a great expense to put things right.

God bless.

or, "Snooze, ya lose". Why is snooze a double O but lose isn't? After all, they rhyme. And why is it that when there is a double O in lose it's a shorter sound (loose)? and why isn't lose pronounced with a long O?

/offended... mvic I hope you called the police. That is terrible.

Hi Kath,

Just noticed your note in Post No. 1311.

There's no point calling the police. There's nothing they would do about it. Crime is so high in the UK they wouldn't bother. Sorry this is not a good advert for the UK.

Praying and paying for the damage is all I can do.

God bless.

Thanx Armydude.

Yours prayers are much appreciated.

The incident happened in plain daylight. About 2.00pm.

It's at times like these that the quotation about loving your neighbour becomes really hard.

God bless.

Did they leave your car driveable at all?

I think that's why we were given the commandment...it's generally easier to love your family and friends...but just a random neighbour? We actually have to stretch on that one.

Praying for peace of mind and heart. *huggles*

Yes, thankfully the car is still driveable.

Thanx for your prayers Tinkerbell. I am slowly calming down about this.

God bless.

I understand a little of your frustration, Mvic. I am sorry this has been so difficult. The sad part of this is that the one who did this will eventually pay. You pay now, they pay later. But look at all the riches you have in the L-rd -- I hope you find comfort in those.

One great comfort I have is all the nice people on these Forums, like you and others, who have commented and prayed with me.

I've only been on these Forums since January and a lot of people are like family to me.

God bless.

Hi JimboFletch,

Thanx for cheering me up. What was it St Peter said: "Silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give you."

So instead of $2000 and a TV I shall pray for you that you may have good health and happiness for you and yours.

God bless.
