Why would a defiant fifteen year old who walks out when he's not supposed to and won't tell me where he's going all of a sudden ask permission to go to the library?

One too many bonks with the frying pan? You do have to limit it, ya know, no matter how much they deserve it.

Brandon and I got to drive over the new bridge on the way home. I know, I know, it doesn't take much . . . anyway, this particular bridge has been broken for the entire 5 years we have lived here and God only knows how long before that. It's only a dirt road, but it's the straightest shot from my house to civilization. I'm glad they finally fixed it.

LOL, Cindy! I'll have to remember to go a little easier on the frying pan.

And congrats and the new bridge to civilization!

Shadow - praying for Sam! Let us know what the Dr. says!

Ez - so glad your girl has such a good head on her shoulders!! It can be so easy for girls her age to get "blinded" by things, KWIM?

Cindy - PTL!! I'm so glad Brandon did well! Praying for the results to be good & the Docs to know just what to do!!

Jen - sounds like you have a boy & a cat with hormone issues!! Maybe they're contagious!!

I got the newsletter finished for our hs group!! One thing to check off my list!!

Thanks for the prayers, Amy! And congrats on the newsletter. That's a big job and a great blessing to others that you volunteer to do it. Kudos!

Doc says no contacts for at least three weeks and gave her steroid eye drops. She must use them faithfully and go back to the doctor on Thursday.

If it's a contact sensitivity, it will be much better by then.

If it is a virus, it will be worse by then.

And, Ez, I am so proud of both of your daughters!

I took Rebekah to the dr today. Apparently she doesn't just have a yeast rash, but she also has UTI. We got some new prescriptions and she should be better in the next few days. Out dr was pretty unhappy with the ER people or not giving her a urine test.

We took Caleb to get some expensive sneakers today to help correct his feet. We chose a place near Brian, but still wasn't able to get over to see him because of time restraints. We haven't been able to see him yet because something ALWAYS gets in the way. It is very frustrating. I am glad that there are people that ARE able to get over there to see him.

I am feeling a bit down today. there is so much to do and so little time. I am not sure how we are going to it it all in before FOT.

Cynthia, Jesse just read where you're from and is very proud of himself for knowing that's in Seattle. Of course he learned that not from any curriculum, but from a Boxcar Children book. And they say unschooling doesn't work. He says to say hi.

Sarah - That seems sort of counter productive to me! They're excluding a big population of women! Have you checked if there is a MOPS group in your area? The MOPS group was my only outlet for fellowship when my kids were little!

Ellie - praying for Rebekah to feel better soon & for things to calm down for you.

((((Jen)))) - praying for you.

Just a reminder. Tonight is chat. However, I won't be there. I want to go to bed about 10 because it's been a very busy week. Had lots of fun with nephew this afternoon and at VBS this AM.

Nephew is so cute. He's 2.5 yrs old. My parents house is open with a stairwell up the middle but you can run a circle around the inside. He will come up to one of us and say "I chase you" He was chasing DS7. As he came through the family room DD2 tossed a throw pillow towards him and somehow he fell and banged his head on the coffee table. He started crying so of course DD2 felt terrible and started crying. She ended up crying longer than DN. He was fine and came to cheer up DD. Then a minute later turned back to dS and said "I chase you" and off they went.

Hi Jesse!

Sorry about that, Jennifer. I had just been reading about Donna and got confused.

Prayed for all needs as I read. Sorry I probably will forget them now though. I have the memory and concentration of a goldfish these days. God knows each need though...

Thank you all.

Brandon is beginning to realize some of the consequences. He seems to be figuring he can deal with them, though.

I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. We are leaving on vacation Sunday & I have SO much to do before then. Today is full of things to do out of the house , so I guess the things in the house won't get done. I need to read my Bible & pray. I have been very lax with my quiet time lately. I think that's what I'll go do now!

Hello, I need you to pray for me. This afternoon I will be visiting someone in the hospital. This person is 70 years old... and can be very "blunt". Just pray that she is in a good mood. When she is in a good mood she can be very nice to be with. Because of her fickle mood, I am nervous about visiting her. I"m sure it will go just fine though.... I just know how she can be.....

I am missing DD. She won't be back until late Friday night. Every night, I accidently set a place on the table for her for supper.

August is just around the corner! Our first 2 weeks in August will be extremely busy!!

It is so hot here!
