Yeah, it can be difficult...especially when you factor in everyone's different personal/work schedules. I found weekends were about the best time to call my family, but that only worked if my mom was off work and if everyone was at home, etc. That's just the way it is sometimes...LOL.

Forgive the double post....but....

Just wanted to let you know we're getting ready to load up for our weekend adventure. This is where we are going tomorrow: http://www.sixflags.com/discoveryKingdom/index.aspx

Have a great awesome fabulous weekend. I'll see you on Monday unless I hop onto a borrowed computer.

Then we're going to church with the in-laws on Sunday. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel.

Gotta run!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Mabrook! That's terrific.

Friday was E's birthday and we're having the party today. The twins came down with a fever last night and I didn't sleep much with getting up to give them their fever med. Needless to say I slept in til 10. I've been alternating their Tylenol and Profinal every 2-3 hours so they'll stay fever-free for the day and the party. Hopefully this will kick it. For H it's just the fever and she seems fine otherwise. M has had a tummyache with his, but he was able to eat lunch after not being hungry this morning. If they're not over it by morning, I'll take them to the doctor. I'll probably keep them home tomorrow just in case, anyway.

Well, I have to go get ready for the party. Have a nice day, ladies.

Beth, sorry to hear you have sick kids too.

We're sitting up waiting for a doctor to arrive right now (11.30pm). X is having troubles breathing - not so bad I want to take her out into the cold, night air to go to the hospital, but bad enough to call a doctor out for a house call. I don't want her to go to bed and get worse while dh and I are sleeping.

That's awesome, Nicole!

Kylie, how is X doing? What did the doctor do?

Beth, I hope your kids are doing better.

The doctor did very little. By the time he arrived her breathing was pretty good again, so he just suggested we take her to her normal doctor for a lung capacity test.

That stinks that he didn't do more. Was she wheezing, Kylie, or was it another breathing difficulty? Here in the US breathing difficulties are considered a medical emergency and they have to treat you. I know I've called my regular doctor a time or two (during regular hours) only to be told...I'll meet you over at the ER in a few minutes as it is EASIER for him to do what needs to be done to stop my wheezing, etc.

We had a lot of fun at the amusement park yesterday. The killer whale got us wet, weT, wET, WET!! It was a blast :)

Today we went to church with our in-laws....they had a special guest...this fantabulous pianist. After that, we went to grab Mexican food. Yum....

Then the good byes and drive home....*sigh* I'm going to miss my in-laws.

We have less than 60 hours before we leave on our move. DH wants to leave at 3 or 4 AM on Wednesday. I'm not a morning person...he is. Honestly I'd rather wait a little later, but not too much...it's just going to be hard going that early...even though I've been up around that time lately...the 4AM. That doesn't mean I'm functional!!!

We are officially moved in!! Although nothing is unpacked. I'm still trying to at least put the boxes in each appropriate room and then go room to room. I didn't get to bed till after midnight and then couldn't fall asleep right away. So now I'm at work and super sleepy. I will unpack like a mad lady tonight. Tomorrow we have a lady coming to walpaper our bathroom. Then in the afternoon kids have an eye appointment. In the evening the health inspector is to come to the restraunt. Mom wants to work with the sweet corn either today or tomorrow. And then the father's from church are coming tomorrow to bless the house and Ryan said he was going to cook for them. AAAHHHH!!!!!! I really don't want to be here at work anymore.

((((Nicole--US)))) I hear you about moving and unpacking, etc. In fact, I started a thread over in the PFY regarding our move: daughter_of_faith's Moving thread

You can view the details and/or updates there....add it to your subscribe list for easy access

Today was packing and more packing. The individual who was supposed to buy our fridge was a no-show. We've held the fridge for him...and turned other people away. *sigh* So the ad is reposted (again) and someone had better call otherwise it's going with us...and we won't have that money to move with.....

Oh well....that's about all we've really done today....

Wow Nicole, (RIR), you ARE busy! Congratulations on moving into the new house. One way to look at it. It won't always be that busy. Just try and do as much as you can. And try and get some rest in there somewhere. I know you've got unpacking to do, but it's not going to be any good for you if you're so tired.

DOF, sorry the guy didn't show up about the fridge. It's annoying when things like that happen. I hope you can sell it soon.

Kylie- Does X have asthma? E has what the ped. calls activity-induced asthma. His dad had asthma as a kid and so did my dad, so he's got the genes for it. It also can kick in when he has a bad allergy spell or bad cold or other chest illness.

The twins are better now. I kept them home yesterday and they enjoyed watching cartoons on the couch with me. They didn't have any fever though. M had a little bit at bedtime so I gave him Profinal but they were fever-free this a.m. so off to camp. H didn't even wait for all of us to get out of the car. She just said 'bye' and headed on down. LOL M needed me to hold his hand though. But he's developed this fascination for rocks though. {sigh} We had to stop and pick up too right in front of the gate to the little ones' area. LOL But I gave them their kisses and and said good-bye and they said bye right back and off they went. They're loving camp. I'm so glad they're going. They're making friends and they're eager to see them.

Well, have a nice day, ladies.

No asthma, not even a wheeze, just shortness of breath. We had another incident tonight and dh took her to the hospital, only to be sent home again because the symptoms weren't there once they arrived.

She's in bed right now sleeping. I plan to take the day off work tomorrow and follow up with our doctor again.

I just hope we can sort it out before Monday as she's supposed to go on her school excursion then.

Kylie

Woooooo and a hooooooo!!!!!! Yay!

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I have mostly been posting in personally for you in Erin and Donna's threads.

I've been doing well. Lorne is home this week working from home which is super awesome! When He works I play and do whatever needs doing.

We got 2 more pets! I got a hamster on saturday and we got a bearded dragon on monday! He is really cool. He is very young still so he is very nervous and flighty. So far Lorne has only handled him. I don't want to drop him or get bit. Pictures of the hamster and bearded dragon are in my blog... in my link if you are interested. I will try to keep up more.

Stacy, yeah he is pretty cool! And when they are adults they are supposed to be totally laid back and easy going! He wasn't eating much so Lorne just suggested we try feeding him by hand... and it worked! He took the bugs and carrots pieces from our fingers. And after that he started chasing the crickets in his cage and ate them! So we will hand feed him now to get him used to us and to plump him up a bit.

X is doing much better, still a little shortness of breath at times but nothing like she was. The doctor thinks it's just a residual from a bad cold she had a couple of weeks ago.

Dh got his new work licence today. I told him it was a very nice $700 piece of plastic.
