Depends upon who is doing the pegging, I suppose. It's not only rude. It can be truly damaging to one's reputation. Not to mention hurting your chances of getting asked out. I used to work in a male-dominated career. I found out after I was no longer in the field, I was rumored to be a lesbian by *some*. I've always made a point of not discussing my personal relationships at work. It just seems to me when you do it gives people something to gossip about. But as I've learned, when you give them nothing, they'll come up with something anyway. When I first started my present job, the married women thought I was married because 'I did not dress like a single person'. I took it as a compliment. The homosexuals thought I was a closeted lesbian. When I have gone on cruises, married people have assumed I am gay until they actually have a conversation with me. After the conversation they decide that I am marriage material I start looking for single guys on the boat. The single guys have been 20+ years older than me or gay. People just do not understand not being on a 24-7 man hunt.
