How to Be a Christian Without Being Religious, by Fritz Ridenour. Also a book by Hal Lindsey called The Liberation of Planet Earth. The first one is a Bible study on Romans which explains the Gospel in down-to-earth language. The second is about the saving work of Christ. I also recommend a missionary biography called Bruchko. They Speak with Other Tongues is a title, by John Sherill, I think, or The Spirit Comes as part of the package by John Leach. Then there's Disciple by Juan Carlos Ortiz (I read the 1975 version, but there is a similar title with a 1995 version).
