My station and the one across the street is at 2.79. Close enough to 2.75 that I'm now ready to hear 2.50!

$2.71 in town today!!!!! (Central AR) I had to laugh when I passed the station that's been closed for a year or so - they still have the old prices posted, it was $2.89 when it closed. I can remember thinking every time I went by there that gas would never be that low again.

$3.39. Even though I can't drive right now, I'd love to see $2.50 or lower as well!

Saw 2.99 to 2.85 at the no name gas station (cash only price). Speedway should be less than 2.99 tomorrow.

Hubby took a picture of a sign and e-mailed it to me! The town down the road had it for $2.99!! That can only mean that it's cheaper in the bigger city north of us! Blessings, Garsy

I have 3.39 here. I was hoping for lower when I got back from vacation, but nope. :) I work in HR. I have been laid off 2 times in the last year. :( I have been working temp jobs since Feb when I got laid off again. I have a job and it was not approved by the CFO. So I am waiting for the hiring manager to get approval. Who knows when that will happen with this crazy economy. :( So I continue my search. I work in HR.

AM I GREEN WITH JEALOUSY! Gas below $3.00? What a dream! Most stations here in Anchorage are charged $3.599 and diesel is $4.599. ANd that is with NO state fuel taxes, NO state or local sales tax.

I saw it for $2.85 today! This is going to help a lot, since we're going on vacation to Lousiana in a week and a half.

I saw this on a local TV website - gas for 34.9 cents a gallon this week! SUPER CHEAP GAS WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) - Gas for about three bucks a gallon seems cheap these days. But how about gas for just 35 cents a gallon? No, the clock hasn't rolled back to 1970. Dozens of people got an unexpected bargain when they pulled into a Wisconsin Citgo station earlier this week. The price of premium at the pump was mistakenly set at 34.9 cents a gallon, instead of $3.43. Customer Kelly Joosten says it was amazing to fill up her Ford Expedition for under nine bucks. These days it usually costs her about $100. Station owner JP Raval figures as many as 40 customers took advantage of the price goof, which lasted about an hour and a-half.

2 weeks ago we were in a gas shortage crisis with long lines and prices well over $4 a gallon ($4.30 I saw). Today gas is in good supply and I've seen prices at $2.90/gallon.

We are around $2.39/gal. here now. What a relief from $4.

Raceway had it at $2.52 this morning. The Chevron was $2.59. I'm changing my mindset from getting gas early before the price rises to waiting to fill up so the price can drop more. But I wonder when the bubble will burst.

When I went to town yesterday, it was $3.24. When I came home, it was $3.19. I wonder what it is today?

by the way, i found the answer - i moved closer to where i do most of my driving.. i take the train to work, now my gas is half of what i used to pay, although now the train fare is twice as much, but its a lot more relaxing to travel. even if gas goes up, my whole total wont be too much more, thankfully. it costs me about $15 a week in gas, I drive a Kia :) nice little car - if your looking for a nice car, easy to drive - get one! I love it humming down the road at $15 gas per week :)

Must be nice just to be able to pick up and move. Not so easy when there is a house that would have to be sold and another found to move into. and in this economy try selling a house and getting a decent price for it. Not so easy when there are kids involved and schools to consider. Not so easy when one doesn't know if they'll clear the next round of layoffs or will have to be looking for a job again soon, and where that job would be. Gas prices have been pretty stable around here at about $2.73 per gallon. Now it truly is about the same as a gallon of milk. Blessings, Garsy
