Well let's hope the "next time" is many years down the road and all my kiddos are out of the house and I can buy one of those funky three wheeled motorcycles!

This time we are just fighting to keep up with our bills - but this latest medical emergency is going to make things awfully rough for a LONG time.

I did get excited when I got gas today for $3.90!

I guess I need to really intensify my search for employment, so I can supplement our income.

Blessings,

Garsy

car sales are going to be up for a while. There's a lot of people very upside down on trucks and suvs who will be replacing them with cars once the car is paid off. Most people replace a car after 5 years. 03 was the suv boom when I bought mine.

I took my van for inspection today. It failed because there was a crack in the fuel hose and needed a new fuel filter. My dad replaced both those so hopefully I'll start getting better mileage. I have been getting about 250 miles/tank around town. I should get over 300. My fuel gage is flakey though and so I have to go by the trip odometer as to when I need gas. I can read at 3/4 a tank and drive 2 miles and the gas light goes on...but it's not really empty

Saw gas at 3.74 today. Right at my target price.

Now I can go grocery shopping tomorrow and pay the extra 5 percent with a clear conscience.

My husband said the Marathon on the corner is down to $3.99. They were up at $4.19 for the longest time. I'm glad to see the dropping fuel prices are affecting us, too. I was starting to wonder if we were the only ones that weren't going to see any lower prices.

I heard a radio report yesterday that said because of the drop in oil prices the price at the pump was down to the low 3.60's around town. Sorry radio people, that 3.74 is the lowest I've seen yet and I pass quite a few stations each day.

Now I did pay about an extra 5% over the week before at WallyMart on Saturday...

We have gone from 4.31 to 4.17 in like 10 days. Wow!

Yeah!

My husband can't wait to fill up my tank at 4.17 tomorrow. LOL!

I can't wait to fill it up at 3.99 again!

We are down to 3.79. Costco had it cheaper last week but they are not always the cheapest.

It was $3.81 in Terre Haute, down from 4.19 the last time I was there (2 weeks ago). I'm sure glad it's going down, because we have quite a bit of driving to do in the next few weeks--a couple of trips to Indianapolis, one to Hartford City, and one to Kentucky to the Creation Museum for Sarah's birthday.

Ours is finally coming down, but not by much. It was 4.27 a couple of days ago.

Erick filled up at 3.79 in another town near here. I was starting to wonder why ours were so reluctant to come down when everyone else's were going doing, but I guess they've finally decided to follow the trend.

we are much closer to 5$/gallon where I am...

I was on empty (light went on) and it cost $47 and something cents just to fill up my Toyota Corolla a few hours ago.

I remember shaking my head at my friend years ago when it cost him $50 to fill up his SUV...I couldnt understand why a married person with no children would drive one...he said its because an SUV can hold his motorcycle (one he rarely drives and when he does its just for play on weekends, not to actually get him anywhere). MY POINT IS NOW IM PAYING THE SAME JUST TO FILL UP A COROLLA!!!!!!!!!!

I paid 3.80 today to fill our van up. Cost me $65!!!!!!! But I got just over 17 gallons. It's the first time in over 3 months that my van has seen a FULL tank of gas!

Around here gas is ranging from $3.80 with a person's Speedway card to $3.85.

Blessings,

Garsy

It is sad that we are getting excited about gas under the $4.00 mark. Last year in December I was complaining about $3.00 gas and got excited when I found it for $2.89 at one station!

Blessings,

Garsy

I know, Garsy--it just makes me wonder if we're going to be doing the same thing in another year?

There'll come a time when you think $4 a gallon was a bargain....

I paid $3.69 a gallon last night.

I suppose I'll have to cherish that memory in the years to come....

OR I could go way back in time and remember $.19 a gallon.

Jeepers, Ben! You ARE old!

I don't remember gas EVER been that cheap! I think the lowest I ever remember was slightly under a $1!

Blessings,

Garsy
