SGM FanFair Heads To The Great Smoky Mountains!
Kennedy, AL - Today, the SGM FanFair Board of Directors announced the relocation of SGM FanFair from Chattanooga to Pigeon Forge, TN.
"The first four years in Chattanooga were great, but we felt it was time for a change," comments board member Dale Burress. "The vote for Pigeon Forge was unanimous among the board of directors, and city officials have welcomed the event with great enthusiasm."
Executive Director Randall Wilds states, "Offering a huge variety of shops, restaurants, museums, amusement parks, entertainment and the beauty of the smoky mountains, Pigeon Forge has long been a family favorite vacation hot spot. With SGM FanFair added to the city's spring events, folks have one more reason to visit and enjoy Pigeon Forge."
The 5th annual SGM FanFair will be held at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center which includes on-site parking - another added improvement for the 2009 event.
The Ramada Inn - official host hotel of the 5th Annual SGM FanFair - is conveniently located on the grounds adjacent to the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, and offers spacious, comfortable accommodations and amenities at affordable, discounted rates.
One of the largest of it's kind, this annual concert event features performances by a huge roster of artists - from quartets to soloists. Thousands of southern gospel music fans and enthusiasts will gather for six days of the finest in southern gospel music, fellowship and family fun.

We only got to attend the Awards Night this year, but since the Smoky Mts are my favorite place in the world, we'll definitely have to schedule now to be there! Just couldn't get any better than SG music and the Smokies!

Pigeon Forge, Tn. Home of Southern Gospel Music.
If any would prefer a log cabin rather than a hotel/motel, Hidden Mountain Resorts is the place to stay. East location is convenient to the Parkway. Maybe I will check to see if enough want to stay at Hidden Mountain there could be discount involved. Stay tuned.

I had a hunch SGM Fanfair was gonna leave Chattanooga. The crowds were just too small and this year less than 1/2 as many artists as the past 3 years.
Sad to see it leave because Chattanooga Convention Center is only 12 miles from my house.
Made it very inexpensive for me to attend.

Cabins would be great! That's what we usually do when we visit PF!
Ms. Judy - the highlight of our year was winning an award at FanFair. The only downside was you were so busy we didn't get to meet you in person before we had to get back on the road! If we get to come next year, I'm making an appointment in advance!

LOL @ Pam.....the way they work me at FF, you just about have to make an appt to chat with me......LOL...and I hate that, but I love the work and the people I work with.
Santa, let us know on dem dar cabins.......is dey one of dem dar hot-tubs thangs in dar? LOL....after running all day & night I need something to relax in....OUCH...my feet hurt jest thankin' 'bout it....
but what cin I say....I LOVE IT!!!!

MsJudy, all cabins have a hot tub and almost all have a jucuzzi. Full kitchen, living area, screened porchs, usually rockers and/or swings on the porchs. Check out the website. Sure of discounts for 2 bedroom and up but working on the 1 bedroom units. These units already have been discounted so will let y'all know.

Ms Judy....How are seats gonna be sold at the new site. We probably will want to attend next year. Haven't been able to get to Chattanooga in the past. Want to order tickets early for best seats.
