When I had two (I have/had a stepdaughter)....I put one on each side of the car like others suggested. Trying to remember which side baby went on, but I think it was passenger. I'm almost positive it is as that is the side he went to once he got a little older (and is still on). It works better for unloading him when parallel parking on the street too!

Thanks Kathryn! I just spoke with my MW this morning to make sure she actually received the results of my blood test and everything appears to be ok from those results. Though she did advise me just to take is easy (no exercise or anything like that) the next week or so and then we'll just wait and see what my BP is at my next appointment. So that is somewhat of a relief I guess, I mean I'm willing to do anything to avoid an induction if at all possible. Now I'll just be forced out of boredom to read some books I've been meaning to get at and actually do my Bradley homework every week (have so been slacking ). Scarlett 37 Weeks!

Has anyone ever had a baby break their water? This child moves so much and hits me so low I'm afraid he'll hit me so hard he'll break his own water! Sometimes he hits me so hard some cm squirts out. Ew, I know, but hey. I have super good news! We just had a guy out here at the house to do window assessment. He told me that it is typically 30 days from start to finish to get the windows in. YAY!! So good! So that means it might happen all around the same time. Eck! But hey, they'll be in, at this point I've decided to not worry about the timing. God knows what He's doing and if they have to come back, well then they have to come back.

How are you today, Scarlett? Keeping rested? My 20 week appointment went fine. Nathan was very well behaved, and we heard a good heartbeat. They did a breast check, as I'm having stabbing, shooting pains in one breast. They didn't find any lumps or anything, so we're chalking in up to pregnancy hormones.

Always good to have a good visit. Today was the day for visits for me. Saw my midwife in the morning and baby is good. Talked about labor, got the birthkit. She thinks he's already Nadia's birth size. He's gonna be big. I am measuring a week ahead. She doesn't think I'll go late, but you never know. I'm praying not. My bp was good, heart rate was good. Just good good good. Also met with the doula today, that went well. I'm really starting to get excited about this birth!! And most of all I cannot wait to meet this little guy! We finished up the baby's room as best as possible, we are still waiting on a changing table from another family. But other than that, if he came today, we'd be ready. And, just for the fun of it, we cleaned the basement. It looks spectacular! It only took us a year to get it done! Hah! I even thought, if I had to labor in the basement I wouldn't mind doing it there!!

Scarlett, you can rent bp machines from Shoppers, or your local clinic. My doctor advised me not to use the in-store machines as they are highly inaccurate (especially in woman). He says that they pinch too hard therefore making your bp appear higher than normal. But that's one opinion, they always score me very high (like 140/95) when really I'm about 120/80. Glad to hear everyone's check-ups are going well. I'm looking forward to mine on September 9. It seems so very far away. The countdown is on 4 days until school starts. I don't know how i'm going to do it. 7:30-5 at school and a few hours of marking every night. I'm going to be exhausted. I'm praying for super-natural strength. We bought a house today! Yep, that's right, a house. The inspection was fine, so that was the final step. Are we crazy? I don't know. Pray for permanent work for dh (supply teaching's great, but there's nothing guaranteed!) He's working construction in between teaching. But a mortgage&taxes is the same price as renting in our area so...yep...we bought our house today.

Kathryn- you look great! You really and truly do. How many weeks were you when you had Nadia? Teaching- congrats on the house! I know what you mean about life being crazy. Honestly, I have been trying to get life to settle down as we get closer to this baby coming, but it's just getting worse!

I was 39 weeks. We are all thinking somewhere mid sept. Of course that could be totally wrong, but we weren't wrong with Nadia. She came when we said she would! Maybe it's the power of suggestion.

I can't decide if I'm nesting, being super tired and resting up for labor and delivery, or just being almost 9 months pregnant! Probably all of the above. Not having the baby's room done is starting to drive me super crazy. Honestly, it doesn't matter and it's not a big deal and I've been totally fine with it. But now I. want. it. done. All the stuff in our garage drives me crazy, I just want to clean it up and clear it out. I want the guest bed MOVED, I don't care if BIL and SIL have to sleep in the basement with no carpeting, and I want my baby stuff set up and ready to go! And (Manda will laugh if she reads this) I'm feeling the urge to pack a bag. Luckily, hubby is doing his best to keep me rational about things. And I'm sooooooo tired. I have not ever been this tired. I didn't get the super-tiredness in the first trimester, just the sick stuff. Now I guess I'm making up for it. I could honestly nap at least 2 hours a day. At least. Most days I can't, but after I got home from work yesterday I slept for over an hour. I got almost 10 hours of sleep last night, and still took a 2-ish hour nap this afternoon. The exciting news is, it's August 30th.....one more month to go!

How is your iron? I know when my iron is low (and about now is when it happens) I am extremely tired. My midwife checked my iron a month ago and I was indeed anemic, but just under the line. I tried foods and such, but I ended up having to go with a iron supplement. I take it everyday. I do not want to hemmorage during labor. I did that last time, was anemic and didn't know it. Try eating more foods that have iron in them, multi grain cheerios, raisins, beans, of course red meat, but we don't eat that much. Blackstrap molasses worked well for me. I can tell you what iron I take, it's vegetarian, so it doesn't constipate or cause nausea, I don't even burp it up. Did that with the slow-fe from the store. Just pm me if you are interested.
