Kathryn, I hope your day got better. Bad days rot.

My BP was 140/85 at my appointment, and that was first thing in the morning, so I'm sure it only goes up from there. No protein in my urine though. I measured 41 weeks...baby had a major growth spurt. CNM said...high BP, huge baby (again), hubby who needs care arranged...perfect candidate for induction. Not to mention, my cervix is already low and 1.5 cm dilated, so that's favorable for induction too. I've got an ultrasound and another appointment scheduled for Tuesday and we'll decide then for sure. Could be as soon as next week! She actually offered me a c-section and hysterectomy right then if I want...but that didn't sit right with me, so I declined.

May I remind you of the cardinal rule of pregnancies here? NO LINE JUMPING!!! Lemme at least get Caleb out ... even if it is only 5 minutes ahead of your bambino's arrival!!!!

So are you ready for tomorrow???

I'll try, Kara...but you have to do your part too. Time to go 4-wheeling in a bumpy field!

I posted about Brian coming home in my PFY thread.

Kathryn, I hope your day got better yesterday, and that today more than makes up for it. Bad days when you are pregnant stink.

Donna, thinking of you today, ya line jumper.

Kara, how are you feeling? One week 'til D-day!

I have foregone any illusion of femininity as far as keeping my legs closed. Josiah's head is so low it's uncomfortable to even attempt it.

I have an appt with my MW this morning- I'm dying to have her check me to see if anything's going on, but since I know it doesn't mean much, I may as well not. Now that I'm full term I'm getting a n t s y ......

Have any of you ladies ever had a spot on your stomach that felt like it was bruised from the inside? I have one really tender spot and I'm wondering if its from Joshua pushing really hard against that spot at night.

Thanks!

there was one particular spot that our first would kick all the time, and it was bruised.....then with all the others they seemed to like that spot too (I guess he stretched it out for them)....so they kept going back there too, but not as much as he would. It felt like it was bruised from the inside....weird feeling.

Yeah, I've got one spot that feels like a perpetually pulled muscle from where Caleb is pushing on it.

One week to d-day ... hoping it's more like one DAY to d-day. Today was my original due date (until it was changed via ultrasound). I see my midwife in an hour, and we'll see what she says (she has already done a couple of stretch & sweeps to attempt to get things moving a little faster). I saw my chiropractor this morning, who did an adjustment which has been shown to send 60% of preggies into labour if babe is in a good position (which he is) So we're crossing our fingers (and uncrossing our legs so he can escape, LOL)

I've had the same spot with both Hannah and Jael. It's not so much from them pushing or kicking on that spot but rather just that the abdominal muscle there (just under my last left rib) is weaker there. Towards the middle/end of both pregnancies it would feel fatigued especially at the end of the day. Ouch!

ok , thats EXACTLY the area I would be pushing down on to get some relief while driving.

That's practically the only time she'd get in there.

Kara, how'd your appt go?

Mine wasn't great- my test came back positive for Group B strep. It's not a huge deal- they administer antibiotics through an IV for 20 min. at the beginning of labor (then every 4-8 hrs)- but it does put me on somewhat of a time limit. Once my water breaks my MW says they can't "leave me out there for days" to labor. Also, I gained 4 pounds since last week!!! I have been swelling a lot more, so my MW says more than likely it's water weight, but it was a nice shock to step on the scale and see the numbers fly high!

just remember that you need to be taking probiotics too (acidophilus pills, sugar free yogurt, etc) because of the antibiotics being used in labor.....so that you don't get a yeast infection in the first few weeks post pardum....NOT a good time for that to have to be dealt with!!!

My appointment was okay ... BP was 108/68 (highest it's been this pregnancy ... probably due to the stress of dh losing his job on Thursday). Caleb's HR was in the 150s. Midwife did another stretch and sweep ... I'm at 3cm and -1 station ... this babe is just being resistant to coming!!! If my water would just hurry up and break, we'd be set.

Go, Kara! You're going to beat me for sure. This baby isn't going anywhere until at least Tuesday, and then only with help.

Yeah ... except I've been at 3cm for over a week now ..........

I don't see my midwife again until Friday (unless I go into labour ...) <<crosses fingers, toes and anything else that'll cross!>>

Umm, don't cross your legs whatever you do!

How about a good strong curry?
