Well, it's official. I have fibromyalgia. I went to the rheumatologist this afternoon. She's given me a few tablets for pain, but can't give me a lot of them. We'll see if they can help me, and then see if I can get some more for a longer period of time. At least now I have a definite answer as to what's going on with me.

Ruthie, I'm so sorry you're dealing with so much garbage right now. I'm praying for you.
Trish, glad you have some answers. Hopefully the meds will help and you can get some relief!

Josie had her follow-up appointment with her lip/nose surgeon and the craniofacial team. She saw the audiologist, who couldn't get a reading on her ears. I knew she had wax buildup but that's all we thought we were dealing with. So they had us wait to see the Ear Nose & Throat specialist. He cleaned out the wax and behind that wax was thick fluid.  He said that since it's thick and she has a cleft history, tubes are the best bet. She also needs her right eye re-probed. Thankfully if we go to Birmingham (where the craniofacial team is) to have the ears done, they can do the eye too! It's an hour longer to B'ham than it would be to the specialist who was going to do her eye. So we decided to have it all done at once. We're waiting on a phone call to schedule the appointment.
Other than that, she's growing, changing, and learning LOTS of new things! She's crawling everywhere and pulling up/walking while holding onto things. We're not encouraging the walking much though. 
Not much else going on in my life. I'm amazed at what a boring person I've become since having a baby! I guess she just kind of trumps everything else right now. LOL Oh, I've cut out two strips of fabric for her Christmas stocking I'm making and I plan to try my hand at making caramel corn for Movie Night at church Friday night. See what I mean? I'm boring!!!

How is everyone?
Can't remember all that I posted in the last update.....my storage shed was broken into and a lot of stuff stolen....I have to file an affidavit and possibly appear at the MI attorney general's office for some job-related stuff...my Mom bought me a set of fireplace doors....I haven't managed to find a new job yet......the weather has been awesome and I've got my yard looking great....my cousin's baby died and we had the heart-wrenching funeral yesterday.....my daughter snuck online and then lied to me about it.....I had a wonderful afternoon of kayaking out on Lake Huron....and I'm still single. Life is always busy and never boring.
I hope this finds you all well and doing great, God bless everyone!

Wow, Ruthie, you have a lot on your plate.
Let's see ... took a "stay cation" and still didn't get much done ... was all ready to do some cleaning on Monday and SIL called and said, 'Are you still taking me to my appt.?" Um, still? Ended up tagging along on the visit with my nephew, which was nice since I hardly get to see him .... next day my computer took a dump ... thought it was a monitor ... by the time a Craig's List guy returned my call we'd discovered it's NOT the monitor and it turned out he knew how to fix the machine. Found out today a RAM chip was faulty .... got it back but am still searching for RAM online, since that's the only place I'll get it at a good price. And working overtime not to let my PC business go under ...

The meds are helping. There's not many of them, so I'm not taking them every day. Just when I absolutely have to. I see my usual doctor next week, so I'll get another prescription from him then. If I can get a stronger dosage, that would be even better, but at least this is better than what I have been taking.

Oh, my Ruthie! Talk about about an emotional roller-coaster! So sorry for the not-so-good things and "yay!" for the good things. Praying for your cousin and the family...how difficult that must be.

Josie's procedure for her eye and ears is on September 9. I'm waiting to hear from the eye doctor...we have to make a trip to see him before the procedures. They said something about an examination of her eye that may require sedation, which I'm hoping she'll just sit still for it instead of having to sedate her!
BTW, the caremel corn turned out great! It's a keeper recipe, for sure! Now, if only I could perfect pancakes. LOL

Sorry I have not been in touch neither this month. I been very, very busy this month, especially with Harvest, especially this year when we lost our brother in Christ, Christopher David Laurie.
Even though I don't know the Lauries personally, I pray for them and I feel for them. If you ever read his blogs, he still miss him(his son) as a person, but also he feels that he is more alive now in spirit.
Continue to pray for them......

Me? Having some problems with sleep and meds, but I'll get there.
I've ordered some of my Christmas gifts and they arrive today. Just little nicknacks, you know, stocking fillers. That pretty much sorts the kid's presents out, and gets me started on some others.

Josie's had a snotty nose since Sunday. This wouldn't be "news" except she's supposed to have her procedures done Tuesday and she can't if she's sick. Thankfully she's only run a low-grade fever once and it's not in her chest so we're still on go at this point.
I just met with some other ladies for our first book club meeting! We're reading "The Shack" for our next meeting. I'm reading it for my other book club right now so it works well for me! Unfortunately, I'll probably give up my other book club since it meets on Saturdays and I'll go to this new one that meets on Fridays.
My parents are moving this month. They're just down sizing and moving not far from where they live now but it's going to be a hectic month!
Not much else going on here.
Wondering how Above_All's wedding went...
