Heard Jeff & Sherri on the Gaither Tour last night. Although they didn't sing much, Morgan really did a fine job with them. It's the first time we've heard heard her with them. Gonna be a GREAT family group. During intermission they even sang briefly at their product table.

Thanks for that review! I love Morgan's voice...I bought her solo CD she released a few years ago, and she has a great range, and strong vocals. Sheri has said that she has wanted to come on the road for a long time now...I am so happy for them as a family. I miss Charlotte, Greg and Landon being with the group, but I think God has got something coming for each of the members.

Round two, Day ten—I’m doing extremely well with the chemo. I haven’t had to take any anti-nausea medication, my energy level is great, and my blood counts were so good with the first round, my doctor doesn’t have to see me until Round three! Praise God for the many prayers that are being offered on my behalf. I’m taking Immunocal twice each day to keep my immune levels raised—it’s an all natural whey protein—and I’m drinking Mona Vie in the morning and at night, which is an all natural antioxidant made from the juice of the acai berry. I’m drinking 64 oz. of water daily, especially days 1-4 and trying to stay busy and exercise. Other than that and Vitamin C tablets, I’m trying to eat what is recommended for specific days for patients going through chemo and it appears to be suiting me well. I promised myself and my family, I would fight with everything I have and you do have to be determined to stick to such a regime. I still have my hair, although my hairdresser gave me a really short, easy to take care of “do” last Thursday! Monday, our family attended a presentation by our county and the Georgia Department of Transportation to celebrate the renaming of the road on which we live to the “James Roy ‘Pop’ Lewis Memorial Highway”. What an honor! We were all so excited that Pop was being memorialized in this manner. I was asked to be one of the speakers and I couldn’t help but point out that the most successful people I’ve ever known, never set out to be great—they simply woke up each morning and made a lifetime of daily good and right choices which led to their success. Pop was a very humble man, never thinking of fame, simply thinking of the things that brought him joy—his family and his music. These joys and his uncanny ability to have a response to any question ever posed, usually with humor, garnered him his legacy. I’m so proud to be the granddaughter of a man who was so loved by so many!

I spoke with Karen Peck about Sheri and she said that Sheri is beginning to lose her hair, and is having a hard time with that. She is doing well with the chemo treatments...she is a fighter!!!

I will be seeing Jeff & Sheri Easter this Friday night. I can't wait to hear Morgan sing. I've never heard her sing in person. I hope Sheri is at the concert.

The concert was at Central Community Church in Covington, GA.
Cecil Hodge (Hodge Enterprises), a promoter from Loganville, GA was the emcee for the evening. The concert was free and Cecil mentioned at some point during his introductions that the concert cost $6000 to put on. They did take up a donation though.
First up was Annette Herndon from Bethlehem, GA. I really enjoyed talking to her before and after the concert. She looked great tonight. She sang the following songs: (Annette wrote most of the songs that she sang tonight. She did not write The River of God or A New Name In Glory)
1) Set My Feet On The Rock
2) The River of God
3) My Hero Of Calvary (my personal favorite)
4) Arms Wide Open,
5) None but Jesus w/video (This song has been recorded by Eternal Praise)
6) Jesus Loving Me
7) King of Kings
8) One Sweet Day
9) A New Name In Glory.
Second in the lineup was Crystal River (formerly of ChoZen Acapella). This group is made up of Ben Mooney (tenor), Tony Churchill (Lead) & Randy Gober (baritone). Tony gave part of his testimony during their set. He also mentioned that he wasn't feeling well tonight. He had caught something from his little girl. The guys sounded great. Randy did be-boxing and he was good! They sang the following songs:
1) Faith Takes A Stand
2) Jesus Is Coming (i think that's the title)
3) Jesus Is Always Doing Something
4) An Old ChoZen acapella song
5) Mercy River
6) There Is A Hope
7) I Stand In Awe
8) Can't Even Walk.
Last but not least, Jeff and Sheri Easter. Sheri looked awesome! Jeff mentioned that Sheri has been through 3 rounds of chemo and had 3 more left. She is cancer free. Madison (20 yrs old) on guitar, Morgan (15 yrs old) singing soprano, Maura Grace (3 yrs old) - she is adorable, Kyle Callaway (21 yrs old) on drums. The only negative thing tonight was Morgan shouldn't sing on stage with gum in her mouth. She would chew it every time she stopped singing. Jeff announced tonight that on Monday night (10/13), Madison asked his girlfriend of 4 years, Shannon, to marry him. She was there tonight. She helps run the product table and watch Maura Grace. He proposed at the Lewis Family Homeplace. The songs they sang tonight were:

4) Livin In The Rain - just Jeff & Sheri sang this

am also a fan of theres watch them when they are on the Gaither Homecoming Hour. I knew Charlotte was gone But I did not know Morgan took her place the cd club I was in has a solo cd of Morgan.

I thought so, Jeff and Sheri were a part of the Homecoming Kids Go West video several years ago, and they sang that on there.

Those were great pictures! Emily Sutherland always does a good job. Just not too many of Jeff and Sheri. Slightly off subject, but who are Dailey & Vincent and Logan Smith that are singing in the pictures?
