Status: offline 		Hey, guys! I was just doing a little reading in a chapter called "Be Yourself from the Beginning" and came upon this quote: "If you are not yourself, you give the person less to be attracted to."

I like that!! -- and I learned that many years ago. You never know what's going to be attractive to another person. There may be something about you that you think is ho-hum ordinary. Or maybe it's even something you don't like about yourself. You have NO IDEA what your date may or may not like. I've been surprised a number of times so it's very important on those first few dates to just BE YOURSELF. That should minimize those first-date jitters.

This is true. I once met someone who liked all the little quirks I had that I thought would scare people off. She even liked my nose!

Status: offline 		My normal laugh when I really get going is kind of a snort. And since I laugh a lot most dates get used to it fast. I've had some laughing at my laugh. (and if she has a funny laugh we can go into simultaneous meltdown mode!!)

so, next time, when you decide to take your date out for dinner, go to a place with an outside patio. If when you're talking and spit comes out, just say...."did you feel a drop of rain? funny, there's no rain in the forecast....." Blame it on the rain...la la la...

The first time you meet them is pretty much the "first date" ... and every little thing has a totally different meaning and weight than if you are on a date with someone you already know in person.
