Yes, but I put my eggplant out long before you did. I live in a much warmer climate... I think our last frost date is April 20-something.

What would I do with a dried jalapeno?

This was my first year container gardening....I have:

Japanese Eggplant - About 10 eggplants will be ready for picking in a day or two.
Cucumbers (Pickling) - Just finished blossoming and there are several small ones growing.
Seedless Watermelon - Still blossoming, lots of potential fruit
Hot Peppers - Jalapeno & Hot Banana...too many to count
Classic Vine Tomatoes - Just finished blossoming and there are many small ones growing.

Herbs - Basil, Rosemary, Thyme, Italian Parsley, and Oregano...huge amounts.

I just love watching everything grow...first thing I do in the moring is check my "crops."

They can be broken/ground up and used in chilli's and stuff ~ whatever really!
