yes, brother rayofson it is. And it is worse than trying to sit attentively through a concerned ladies group, but I humbly admit not that much worse.

I had hoped it would be easier to create power point displays eventually on Home schooling, scripture, and other presentations so that others could study them with more ease.

One day at a time applies to everything, even these laptops. Of that I am sure now.

I like the "Don't feed the Ogre sign>' Of course, I wish we would have had such a sign for my son way back when. Reason for it is similar to why they sometimes stay on the porch with my grandson, If ya let the little guy in he throws fits when you try and make him leave to g home.
That sure is a cute little fella.

So do ya know the difference between a barking dog on the porch and a nagging wife on the porch?

The other night right before VBS, I had to go sit while the ladies gave the report on how VBS was going to go, and they had a rousing discussion over bible theme napkins for the snacks. I made the mistake of saying I did not think the napkins would matter and if the special napkins couldn't be found or bought we would do fine with the plain ones.

My wife couldn't even figure out what was so important about the napkins.

And people complain that the Preacher gets paid more than everybody else. To anybody thatt wonders why this is, well, having to sit through a catfight over paper napkins that are used to clean a child's face, hands and whatever the food hits and then go directly into a waste basket should not even have to ask about that.

Sorry son, it has truly been an eventful several days. I suspect that the age old problem of female pecking order, that precipitated the napkin ordeal, or it could have been the fact that they were working on the air conditioning in the meeting rooms. I was in one of the other forums and some of the womenfolk were talking about ministers making huge salaries. I have not really seen that, most of the Preachers I have known have part time jobs as well as the responsibility of their congregations.

One of the Deacon's wives wants to start a daycare, and I am supportive of the project, but sometimes, the women feel slighted if they feel they don't have enough stake in planning, but my response to that is if they want to be involved, they need to speak up and get involved as they can, but to just sit and be silent and expect us to know what they want to do and then become irate when we overlook them, well...

My wife and I both had to counsel the women. I believe still it was not the napkins, it was pecking order. Happens from time to time. That is why the garage is such a blessing.

This is a 'no pecking' zone.

Rode to the grandson's new place today. First bachelor "Pad." They had a spool.
AHHHHH brings back memories.
Anybody mind passing me a cold soda? It was hotter than a match head outside.

opens door, takes shoes off and shakes out sand, puts shoes back on and plops down in chair.
I just spent a week with MIL and BIL. A grand total of SIX kids from 18 months to 8 years old... in a 2 bedroom condo!!!
Was fun though, lots of good food and built some BIG sand castles. But, I'm gonna sit and "just be" for a little while.

I will be going to a wedding this saturdy and performing the ceremony, then I plan to eat heavily sauced ribs like there is no tomorrow, and also deliver a sendoff sermon for a buddy who has been called to go back to Iraq. And then, although all of you may be asleep catching well deserved z's, I may just come in here, and sit quietly, and if no one minds, I may open the fridge, grb a cold soda, and just sit.
The grandson is going, For that I am glad. He has been spending a lot more time over here since he turned eighteen and now has a girlfriend. For me, this is a bessing when the rebellious ones start calming down and doin the right thing. praise God. I know its early but pass the potato chips, somebody.

Finally finished staining the deck last night.

I bought four gallons of stain to begin with. Part way through the project I was trying to decide if I'd need to buy one more gallon or if two more would be required. Thankfully the whole project took about 3.9 gallons and I never did have to buy anymore.

What a day. Several of the guys are out on vacation, so of course that's when computers "act up"... dealt with "ID (ten) T" errors all day long. I just wonder how some of these folks even get dressed in the morning? I have my own big industrial land report due at the end of this week! Then I get home to news that my daughter needs more mouth surgery (born cleft), this on top of trying to pay off 2 other hospital bills from Mom being badly sick this summer. Man, if I go down, it's not likely because biz is slow, we have work. It'll be because of the medical bills. Trying to finish our new house, get our old one sold, keep up at the office, just finished 2 other spec houses with 1 under contract, but still hemorrhaging money with DR visits and paying on 2 personal residences at the same time. Told my wife we just need to put everything up for sale, and live in what ever doesn't sell... just all hitting me at the wrong time.

I am hoping the ceremony can be mercifully short so we can all just progress to the ribs as soon as possible. Sylvia has already started cooking, cheesecakes, dressed eggs, and that famous cherry coke jello salad, I will be counting carbs and calories shortly after this event.
