Looks like we left Louisville just in time. They had some 70 mph winds and had quite a bit of damage there yesterday. We drove through some strong, gusty winds but it wasn't quite that bad!

We were in some of those winds Dinana saw several trees along the road uprooted. We called church family and had them praying us all the way home. Along with the high winds we got heavy rains. We got a little over 6 inches here at home(we are 2 hours south of Chicago) Several school out today due to flooding and no power. One town close to us got over 10 inches! GOD is so good!

What a great week!!! We averaged 6 miles a day inside the exhibit hall. This was the largest crowd ..... EVER!!!
I'm really just checking to see if Santa and Pauls picture turned out!!

You also got a lot of exercise in by lifting your goodie boxes (those were heavy)...Eddie and Janice Crook sure enjoyed theirs...I will give Mike and Ed their boxes today at The Prophets' rehearsal...I have shared my box with others and it is still half full! Thanks for your care for us singers.
We do need breath to sing, though.

I did not see you clicking that pic! OK..we've seen it now.

Hey ya'll. Just trying to unwind from a long week at NQC. It was great being able to meet David Stuart, David Bruce Murray, Sony (SGEnthusiast) and her sister (little inspiration). It was also nice catching up with Daniel, Tyler (youngartist), JChaz, Robbie Maxwell, Dinana and Donna (GV Fan). I also had the chance to talk to some artist posters (Tanner Stahl and Pat Barker). Sorry I missed DeeAnn and Santa.

It was good catching up with Tanner, and I heard a story from Matt Fouch (their bass) that left me dying with laughter...

I also got to talk to Matt Rankin (lead) and their new pianist. They're all TERRIFIC guys.

Well....

(Let me just say it has to do with Ray Dean Reese and Matt Fouch meeting each other in an, uh, awkward way) ...I'm not trying to be smart here, it just wouldn't sound quite appropriate for a message board

Ask Matt Fouch about it sometime...he'll probably get red and go "How'd you hear about THAT?!"

Hey SG Fans,

I didn't get a chance to go to the convention this year, but my two brothers went for the first time. They would call me every once in a while and say, "Listen to this! You should be here!" It was torture for me. Next year I'll be there.

What would you do without your brothers!!! You'll have to join the posters meeting next year so we can meet you --- we'll try to have it arranged better and with better attendance than we did this year.

This year Bill and I were so busy with the radio station that we couldn't be at the forums meet & greet. We saw and talked to a lot of posters. It was great to see everyone again.
Last years meet & greet was a very quick time, too. There is just so much to do at NQC.
Some took time out to stop and pick up cookies. We had lots of them with us this year.

This will be one of my favorite memories from this year's NQC. On Saturday I had checked out of the hotel, and I was sitting in a booth in the exhibition hall reading the autobiography of Lou Wills Hildreth. Mosie Lister was walking by and noticed me. He stopped, said he had been a friend of Lou's for forty years, and didn't know she had written a book. He sat down, and we talked for about 20 minutes. He told me the story of how Michael Booth convinced him to call Michael's mother-in-law and ask her to dinner. Then how she has spent the last several years becoming the best wife for him. He told me about songs he had written that no one wanted to record, then after several years they became his best known and best loved songs. He told me about the gospel group his granddaughter has started. And on and on. It was a wonderful conversation that I will always cherish.

When I got home I emailed Lou, who I have met several times, and told her about my conversation with Mosie. She just emailed me back to say that she is sending Mosie a copy, and wants us to get together next month when she comes in for the SGMA inductions. I have long wanted to question an author about their book, so I can't wait.

I am so excited!

Mosie is a great man and is very friendly. We have talked with him a couple of times when we saw him. Don't think he travels as much with BB as he used to.

Mrs. C. and I talked with Mosie Sat. also. He was in deep conversation with a Methodist minister at the time so we omly chatted for about 5 minutes.
I reminded Mosie of the time that I had sent out my email prayer list which Mosie received and it had a request to continue to pray for George Younce. Mosie emailed me back with a message for George. Here I was the go-between for Mosie Lister and George younce. Wow! That was special.
