ARGHH!! he didn't get today's job.. even though they told him they really liked him.... why oh lord why ??we still havent heard from one more job which he interviewed at already.. but they told him they won't get back to him for another week or two..... I must admit.. I am getting very discouraged... I was sure God was going to intervene but it doesn't look like ANYTHING is going my husband's way..... I can't encourage my husband if I am feeling like this!.. please God help us..., and give me the strength to encourage my husband and to let him know that you are real!

I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread and others that pmed me for your prayers and support. God has provided my kids and I a place to live and a roommate that will help alleviate a lot of my housing expenses. The bankruptcy is in progress and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on some lingering issues. Praise God and thanks all for praying.

PRAISE: I have now been free from alcohol for 61 days!!!!!!! ALL THINGS are possible through Christ!!!!!
PRAYER: God has really stepped up the nudging on quitting smoking. I had my last cigarette at 9am this morning. This has been an even bigger struggle for me than alcohol. Please pray I will remember that this is God's will and will remember that He will carry me through this.

My husband has gone to the Egyptian Orthodox church last sunday by himself then met me in later in our pentecostal church. Today, he took our eldest son with him to the Orthodox church...telling him that they are going to a "new" church....he will then meet us afterwords again in the pentecostal church. Also he is trying to get our second son water baptized in the orthodox church, which is something I am very against..... This is defenitly a good thing... You can't raise children being torn between churches like that. I really want God to convict my husband and REALLY finally give up the "religious" side and just stick with God. I understand I need to be very careful with all of this as to not make him become stubborn and just stop going to the Pentecostal church all together... but my heart is so wrenched!... Please pray for me so that I handle this situation how God wants me to!

my husband has an interview tomorrow.. it is the last job interview he has lined up. He has applied for every single job out there and been on so many interviews... please join me in prayer that maybe tomorrow's interview be the one that hires him.

I'm struggling with sin, but I can't bring myself to ask for help, even from the people I love and who love me. I've been a believer since I was a little girl (I'm 23 now) and I feel ashamed that I can't rise above this issue. The person who helped me with this before passed away a few years ago and I haven't been able be fully vulnerable to anyone since. I so want someone to pry out of me what I'm longing to say because I know I can't do it on my own.
Your prayers are appreciated.

this prayer request is not for me.... but for a couple in our church.. they have been having a lot of trouble staying pregnant and this time she made it to the 12 week mark.. which was Monday... today they went in for an ultra sound and there is no heartbeat.. she will need a DNC....they are new believers so please remember them in prayer !

Please pray for my friend Lindsay. She is having her first child tomorrow, Ayda, by C-section. She wasn't due until next Thursday, but the doctor said that Ayda is already 10 lbs 10 oz. She is scared and excited, so is her husband Brandon. Also, I don't believe they are Christians. Please pray for them!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband landed a job. He is signing the contract this weekend and should be starting work on tuesday. the job is not the greatest pay and so forth.. but.. its better than ZERO income. anyways.. I just wanted to update and say Thanks to all who prayed for this need which I posted about many times.

Well, I accepted the position as the 8th grade math teacher at one of the local middle schools where I live. They called me and did an informal interview and now I am going for a more formal interview. My principal said I've got the job if I want it. Its going to be quite a challenge. I will be the third teacher this year working with struggling math students, who as their teacher, will be expected to get them ready for Algebra next year in high school and their motivation to get to Algebra is about zero right now since they have been through so many teachers.
Thanks all for praying about this job. Now, that it looks like I am the full time teacher (instead of the sub), I would ask for wisdom for knowing the best way to handle these classes and that I will be able to establish a good relationship/repport right away. I have a very big job ahead of me but God has been preparing me for this for awhile. Also, the state is requiring me to pass 2 very rigorous math tests to demonstate that I am highly qualified to teach this subject. Please pray that I will pass the first part of the test in January.

MIL fell off chair, broke both bones in ankle, in hospital recovering and now has pneumonia on top of the cancer in lung and liver.
Please keep her in prayer.

I just got off the phone with Kimmie (Memaw.) She is asking for prayer. I don't know how many details she wants me to share, so I will be vague. Kim is getting ready to take a 10 hour drive. It's 7 p.m. her time. It is work related and will probably be very stressful.

I need prayer for God to help me get back into His Word and praying for the lost people in my life like I was doing before the depression hit. I've also been asking God why did He bother to create me, so please pray that He'll help me find a purpose for my life so I won't feel so despairing. Thank you.

I don't want to pray that God will open the doors because I know he already will if this is where he wants me. I want to pray that I will have peace and be prepared for this job if God opens the door.
