At her request, I gave Mrs. K an EPILADY as a gift.

She still shudders every time she hears the word epilady or remembers the one time she used it. Apparently it jerks the hair out of your legs by the roots.
Yikes!!

Beckey! Thanks for the link to the one you got. I just may consider that. I use a twin blade razor right now, and I am always in a hurry and we all know what that can lead to.

There are places in Europe that it's normal NOT to shave, but I don't think "that" idea will catch on here. (thankfully)

What places might those be?

hummmm, I went looking and couldn't find anything specific on the legs, and very little on underarm hair. But I know I have seen something about not shaving, especially underarm hair in some countries. I did however get some education in what all is suppose to be included in "Western Countries" and Europe is included in that.
I found a forum where a guy started a thread about armpit hair though. LOL!

And Kerr, speaking of shaving...that's quite the avatar you have there. Rent a Coot eh? Are you thinking of growing a beard?

Sharon - I find it quite oddly hilarious that a thread on women's arm pit hair is on a forums with the byline of, "Canada's Bargain Hunting Community".

I know it was under the folder "off-topic" . . . but still, it just cracks me up.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty funny too. I did a double take at the website again after I got there for the confusion I felt for a minute LOL!!
I think it's funny that guys were discussing the subject anyway.

It's actually been discussed here as well.

Well, not specifically Beckey's thread, but in other places here at FCN.

Pluck, pluck. <--That's how the chin looks when going on the search and tweeze mission. With a "spotlight" and the magnifying side of a makeup mirror.
I only know that because I've listened to others tell about it.

Oh, alright...I'm lying.

Did the non shaving people say if they plaited or used dreadlocks for their hair?

I took the kids to the park yesterday.....after MUCH protesting from Ben. He did NOT want to go anywhere. I don't understand why I have to force the boy to have a good time these days.

I told him, if he did not have any fun (no smiles or laughs) at all, that I would pay him $2 for his trouble. But if he ended up having a good time, he would only owe me a hug. He had a great time.

They brought their skates and skated around a big pavillion and then we put the skates up and I got the 'jumbubbler' out of the car and we went over to the playground and they played on the equipment and popped bubbles. I knew they would have fun, it was just like pulling teeth getting Ben to go.

I did collect my hug too .

I'm glad I made him go too. Sometimes it just seems easier to let them have their own way, but I was trying to get them out of the house to burn off some energy AND so Ronnie could get some peace and quiet, he was tired from driving back from El Paso (he had to take the truck in to get the A/C fixed, instead of being able to come home right away to sleep) and needed a nap.

Speaking of naps, I need one now. It's his turn to keep the kids quiet. Ha! Who am I fooling?

I took a CPR class recently and the instructor highly suggested that you have a roll of duct tape in your supplies when you need to use the defibrillator on a hairy chested person (gender to remain unmentioned). The tape takes the hair off lots faster than the razor in the kit and it isn't thought the patient will be doing much complaining at the time.

Legs and pits Kerr. Where else?

Do y'all think that if I offer Lynn $2 she'll go someplace fun with me? She complains that she is bored all week long and when I suggested we get out this weekend and do something affordable like window shopping at some antique stores she thought of every reason NOT to go! Then complains that she is lonely during the week while I'm at work and is lonely during the weekend when I am outside doing yardwork...

.... ouch! Duct Tape??!!????

Okay... window shopping sounds fun.... sometimes its good to NOT tell her where you guys are going...

You just tell Lynn to get in the car and close her eyes... making an outing an adventure is much more fun and romantic... kinda scares away the blues for a little while....

Just kind of tie her up and kidnap her? Ya, like that'd really work...

Wait a minute! She just might like that!
