I called the doctor on call yesterday, and she sent me to the hospital to have a lab done on my urine. She called about an hour or so later and said that I had a pretty bad UTI, and she called in a prescription which I am now taking. I have to call the surgeon on Monday to talk with him about this to make sure that everything is ok. I was prayed for in church and now my urine looks pretty clear. The weird part is that I am also dehydrated. I had tried drinking more water earlier his week. I know that I have a tendency to get dehydrated Which can be especially bad since I am prone to kidney stones. In an effort to not get dehydrated with the worming weather, I began to track the amount of fluids that I was drinking. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold it and was having problems drinking that much. I was feeling exasperated by it and gave up. And here I am... dehydrated.

well..after being on massive antibiotics for a month with no change in the blood and white blood cell count in my urine, the doctor is finally sending me to a urologist. I see them on Tuesday. Pray that we can get whatever this is diagnosed and under control. Pray also for my husband...he is a worrier when it comes to me and my health...and it is really bothering him a lot what all I have been going through....and I can almost guarentee that I have been bleeding internally (either in kidney or bladder) to the point that I am anemic. I am exhausted all the time and the only other times I have ever felt this worn out all the time was following the birth of our first child, after which I was anemic due to blood loss and following my emergency appendectomy while pregnant. I normally have very good iron content in my blood.... and to be honest...just pray that God will heal me...I'd much rather He did it...lol...He is a much better Physician! Thanks for all your prayers for the past month as well!

Y'all pray for me and jerry- (and the kids) he just called with news that turned our Pre-deployment plans upside down, inside out, and brought that migraine back full force. What good is having 45 days paid leave if you cannot take it huh? if this isn't straightened out I am going to have a very very disappointed family. Forget me wanting to spit nails and scream Black and decker Uncle Sam put in your papers. ~e

well..saw the urologist. He wanted to know why they have been treating me with antibiotics and not taking at least an x-ray because the symptoms scream....kidney stone. He thinks I have a large one embedded in my kidney. We are doing a CT scan with IV iodine on Monday to check. He is also going to check everything to rule out tumors, cysts, kidney and bladder cancer. *sigh* Finally...somebody doing something besides handing me another pill!

Uncle Sam has relented partially and for now- looks like our 11 day vacation is being carved down to a 7 day vacation. Please pray Uncle Sam doesn't go changing his mind and erasing the whole vacation again. ~ezri

I am meeting with the elementary principal today before work to discuss next year. I really want to do the after school but not necessarily before school. However, if it is all or nothing I'll do it all.

M family doctor wants me to see an oncologist, actuallly she was adamant about it. She saw the report on the cancer that they found and something in the description made her think that it could come back in the future somewhere else in my throat. She said that she didn't want me to come in five years from know battling another cancer, lets say on my tonsils, or something. She thinks that it needs to be kept an eye on.

Got some bad news today. I can't go into all the details here but effective last Friday the kids and I lost our primary medical coverage. For the most part htat will be OK except for the dentist who doesn't accept our 2ndary and with my dental phobia I am not going anywhere else...at least for myself.

Got this email from my mom: quote:
Grandma was in a car accident this afternoon and is in the hospital. When Uncle David called me no one had been to the hospital yet but were on their way. Sherry talked to someone at the hospital and said she has a lacerated liver. So I would guess it is pretty serious. I will call you when I get more information. Grandma is almost 91, Sherry is my cousin who is a nurse.

I am really feeling nasty now. My throat is swelled some, and I feel very tired and messed up. I took pain meds a while ago, and I hope I can sleep and feel better.

Well...been to the urologist. Have had a CT scan with and without dye, as well as KUB x-ray. Have also had a cystoscopy (where they take a little scope and inspect the inside of your bladder). There is good news and bad news. The good news: I DO know my own body and I DO have kidney stones, as well as there isn't any cancer of the kidney or bladder. The bad news: I have 9 tiny little stoned embedded in my kidneys which at this point are NOT causing me any pain or trouble....the 10th stone is what is getting me. It is 2 CM and trying to break loose to pass....it can break loose but there is no way it can pass. I am scheduled for a litroscopy (where they zap it) in an attempt to break it up into passable pieces on June 10. Please pray that either God removes that stone for me (and I know He can..and wouldn't that be a cool testimony to the doctors!) and if that isn't His plan...that He will keep the stone from causing a blockage (in other words stay put where it is hovering over the tubes that leave the kidney to the bladder rather than trying to pass) and that the procedure will be successful. If God does not remove it or the procedure doesn't break up the stone...I am looking at surgery simply because this stone is literally is teetering on the top of the tubes that lead into my bladder and it is the size of the top segment of my pinkie finger.

I thought I should update from the other day. I was very sick and in excruciating pain from my large stone. We ended up calling the doctor, who prescribed an anti-nausea medicine to keep me from throwing up so that I did not dehydrated..but didn't want to give me pain meds as we needed to keep on top of the pain for chance of the stone moving. For those of you who know me and know how I feel about pain meds...let's just say I would have rather have had the pain meds..it was that bad! I was still urinating so it had not blocked me up. I struggled with this situation until about 7 or so..when I was finally able to keep about 1 tsp of water down. I then sipped 1 tsp of water every 10 minutes until I fell asleep at 7:30. I then woke up at 8:30 when hubby came in to make sure I was still drinking fluids. I was no longer in ANY pain..and felt better. Sipped some more water. At 9...hubby made me some broth and I ate some saltines. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your prayers.......they helped me! I could feel people's prayers for me...even when in the midst of it all...(they are what kept me sane!) and I ask that you continue pray that this stone holds still or that God will remove it Himself!

I'm taking DD2 to the dr. this AM. She has had a sore throat since Saturday and her ears have also been hurting at least that long. She only had a fever of any sort on Sat but other than that isn't getting any better.

Please continue to pray for Mr. S and his wife. Mr. S recently accepted Christ as his personal Lord and savior. he is now what you would call a complete jew, or a messianic believer. he was hit hard recently with the realization of what this accepting Christ means for him, his living family and those who rejected christ in the past. Another BOMB to be dropped since he knelt- his 2yo grand baby has a heart issue and will be having open heart surgery next tuesday... All this has driven mr. S to the bottle. He had been sober for 10 years prior. His weekend bout left him unconscious in the bathroom with nearly a months worth of meds in him + a couple bottles of hard stuff. He was found in time but has now been admitted against his wishes to the hospital. He had intended to go out for his grandsons surgery and he called my honey all upset at him for calling 911 and messing up his plans. Honey told him outright that he did not need to be out there in the shape he is in. He told honey he'd never do anything intentionally to hurt his daughter. Honey pointed out that he'd never intentionally mix Alcohol and prescription drugs either but after drink #1 which he never remembers taking he is not himself and does things he'd never intentionally do. Keep Mr. S and his wife--- his daughter and the 2yo in your prayers. Jerry as well- words to say and when to say them. he is having to be the bad guy this go round but it is saving Mr. S's wife that burden. ~e

Got this update on my Grandmother. Uncle Jim is my mom's BIL. Uncle Jim and his wife live with my grandparents to help them out. Uncle Jim has the patience of a saint. quote:
We got a call from Uncle Jim this evening. They had a very frustrating day with Grandma. The short version is that she doesn't know if she wants to go to the retirement home or not. Grandpa is all confused. He doesn't know if they are going to the home or not. He doesn't know where Grandma is, even though he visits her at the hospital. But the bigger immediate issue is that she doesn't want us to go there while she is not at home. So we would not go next week. We might try to go the end of June. I'll call her tomorrow night but try not to bring up delaying the trip and see what she says. But for the moment, the plan is not to go next week. If that is the way it works out, they we would try to go see Kim that weekend, Saturday the 7th.

So much has happened in my family in the short time of a week! Please pray for us in handling the stress, for even the good events have been very stressful. Pray for Angelica: she has gone to live with her father temporarily. Please ask the Lord to make it permanent, as it is not safe for her emotionally, psychologically or physically at her mother's house. Pray for her witness to her father, that he might return to the Lord because of her testimony. Please pray for her mother, to start living the life of love we are called to live as Christians, and that her self-deception would be stripped away. 'Nuff said. Pray for Michael, who has gone to live with his ungodly mother. He could not stay here any longer, but we still love him dearly. Our hearts are grieved, even though we know this is the will of the Lord. Yes, we are all certain God is in this, but it is a time of trial and testing which will be very painful. His mother is intent of making him fall away into wickedness again, so her baby will never leave her. She even tried to entice my daughter to ungodly living, inviting her to come and live with their family when she turned 18 so she and Michael could get married! All this behind my back! And now she is refusing my calls to check on Michael's safety and get him the rest of his belongings. She is a fool for thinking any counsel against the Lord could stand. We have assurance from God that Michael will be okay and serve the Lord in the end, but how long it will take and how much hardship he will endure only God knows. So keep him in you prayers. Pray for my dd, who almost fell into this evil plot! She does love Michael with all of her 17 yr old heart, and this abrupt separation, even she knows it is the will of God and agrees to it, is a trial for her. Pray that she will draw close to Jesus, and want nothing more or less than the righteous life God desires for her. My husband and son were driving to Maryland to support us in these two messy situations, when they hit a deer. Both are okay, praise the Lord! But the car needs a lot of repairs. I know my God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory. But pray that we will be content with what is left over after paying this bill, and for peaceful hearts in the midst of all this stress. Thank you for your prayers and this thread. I feel so much closer to my cyber family when I pray for your needs. Thank you for posting, as well as for praying.

Ellie was hit with terrible pain when she started to move around this morning. Feels like a kidney stone attack. As if we didn't have enough running around to doctors already. She had to take some pain medication this morning, and we'll probably get her in to the doctors. Please Pray!
