I am part of a 4 person team taking part in a geocaching competition tomorrow. We will be heading to the national forest where it will be held, around noon today. We were able to take 1st last year by the grace of God. This year it's going to be more difficult since the main opposing team is aware that they have competition now. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and compete. We will be tromping through the woods very possibly over rough terrain trying to find as many caches as possible in the least amount of time. We are going to need all the prayers we can get.

Thanks all.

Wanted to post this now, in case I don't get back on here. They do have WiFi in the hospital & I'm taking my dh's laptop, so I may even be on tomorrow.

My dh (his name is Russ) is having his back surgery (disc fusion) tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. Prayers for the surgeon & staff and for all to go well would be appreciated! Also, prayers for peace of mind for all of us!

Thanks so much you all!!

Trill has an appointment with the college for an interview next Monday(April 14th) as one of the final steps to deciding if she will be chosen as a student ambassador and get *FREE TUITION* for her service. She really wants this to work out. Her father and I are praying it works out.

Please pray for God to give her all the right words to express her desires and goals in a manner that brings Glory to Him. That He might smile upon her endeavor and grant her this opportunity to be HIS ambassador.

Oh and another- Mr. B (Trill's Beau if you recall) has several applications out for different ROTC Scholarships and he had an interview with a Major P at one of the colleges this past Monday. He needs some good news as well.

One of the pastors at church and his wife had her baby today at 23 weeks gestation. They are asking for continually prayer. Her name is Ester Hope. She was 1 lb. 10.2 oz, 12 3/4 inches and was born at 8:36. She appears strong. They are giving her a 50% chance of surviving. Please pray for them.

Just posting an update here, in case anyone didn't catch it in the chat thread. My dh's surgery went well!! We are hoping he will get to come home today! But now, the hard work begins! Continued prayer for his body to heal & patience for all of us with his limitations & the process would be appreciated! It really helped yesterday to know that so many people were praying!

I cannot expand on this, but Brandon made some very bad choices today and is now in need of prayer.

Things are somewhat improved, at the very least, no longer critical. Thank you for your prayers.

I am going to need lots of prayer over the next couple of months. I just received a phone call informing me that me and my husband are going to have to testify against my mothers husband. This is a sticky case. Our testimonies are very important to it.
Testifying won't be to difficult for my husband, but for me it will require pulling out memories that I would rather let alone. The court date is set up for June 2 - 6. Please keep me and my husband in your prayers.

Thanks

Praying for those above.

My request is this:

Dentists.

My cleaning took 3 hours. it took a LONG time to get me to put my feet up and sit back. Tris was with me and said that DAD needed to come in the rest of the times cause she coudln't handle watching me nearly cry in the chair.

The dentist told honey that he needed to attend my appts after that as well and suggested Valium. I had my #2 appt yesterday. They did 3 fillings... tiny things that could not even be seen on the Pano x ray, but were soft spots that needed to be taken care of. Even on the Valium I felt like I would drown and caught myself not breathing while they were in my mouth. Jerry held my hand the whole time- I fear he wont be able to type well today. My other hand was white knuckled the arm of the chair.

Afterward the dentist asked if that was so terrifying, big tears filled my eyes as I nodded yes. He also seemed shocked that I'd never had a tooth filled before. Never. I got great teeth bad gums.

ANYWAY... prayer- I have 4-6 more appts. for myself over the next 8 months. another filling appt then two extraction appts and a few fittting type appts for the partial to go in the bottom. I feel light headed just thinking about them.

AND they have *ME* bringing the kids in for their appts. Poor Jeremiah has the worst of the lot. what with CPS not providing the CPS he required in his mouth. Baby bottle mouth and consistent antibiotics for ear infections have all but rotted his teeth. It is strange to see a tooth come in and then turn orange and brittle but that is what has happened. He has to see the oral surgeon and have not 2 or 3 teeth pulled but a staggering 4 permanent teeth and 2 baby teeth. guess who gets to take him in for said appt? I want to CRY.

Today will be my 3rd trip in this week... me and 4 of the kids.

I am not handling this well.

~ezri

A brief update on my situation...

I just received a phone call from my sister in law who lives near my mom. She and my brother have both been summoned to testify as well. From what I understand the police have been patrolling their area in an effort to protect them. From some of what she told me she is fearful.

I ask that you keep my bother, his wife and their children in your prayers as well.

Thanks

Praying for everyone above. Don't have time to catch up on the chat thread, but wanted to post here. My parents called to let me know that my niece was raped last night by her ex-boyfriend (her 2yo daughter's father). She didn't report it until this morning & took a shower last night, so I'm not sure what if anything the police can do about it. Pray for safety for her & her little girl and for my brother & sister-in-law and nephews as they support her.

We got an e-mail this morning that the Scoutmaster for ds's Boy Scout Troop passed away last night. He was in the hospital for surgery & they think it was arrhythmia. Pray for his wife JoAnne & their family and our scout troop too. There will be a big hole in lots of lives at his passing. He played a big role in helping so many boys develop into real men!!

I realized that I never posted this after I found out last week. A little girl who was friends with our assistant pastor was beaten to death by her stepfather with a video game conroller. HERE is the article. Aaron Anderson is our AP.

Our church has certainly has it's share of trials the last few months.
1. Pastor so stressed he needs a sabbatical
2. ALl my issues.
3. An older man in the church died
4. My brother died
5. One of the elders DIL miscarried twins. This family not part of our church.
6. Same elder's grandson (this family attends the church) is less than a year old and has a heart tumor. This family and I are in the same small group.
7. Same man's wife and daughter have ongoing health issues and have had complications the last few months.
8. The death of this little girl.

Baby Esther has had some setbacks. She had to be but back on a ventilator and they were not able to get a blood pressure reading.

Her blood pressure is coming up now. They are asking for prayer for the infection that she is trying to fight.

Having more car problems: the sliding door for the back of the van fell off. Hopefully dad can fix it. I am very frustrated and irritated at the kids for being in the car when they shouldn't have and then trying to fix a problem they shouldn't have. The one who is upset is not the one who ultimately broke it.

I have blood in my urine and noticeably so. I think that is why I was having trouble drinking water last week. Anyway, I am praying that this won't affect my operation. I also have a headache and can't take any of my usual stuff this week before the operation. I am feeling rather miserable today.

Oh, and the kids are finishing up their testing today.

We are having a thunderstorm. DD2 is having trouble with it. She is terrified. I told her she could come lay on the sofa and have the TV on quiet while I'm in the next room so maybe she would fall asleep. I hope she does soon. Today was a really good day.
